Please let me know if your pet has any health concerns, or any safety/behavioral patterns I should be aware of (i.e., interactions with other dogs during walks). Please please make sure your pet is clean, dry, and happy when we meet. :)
A typical day
I can take your dog on local neighborhood and nature walks, based on your preference. If dogsitting, I like going out on drives with the windows rolled down so doggoes can feel the wind hit their faces. If allowed, I also enjoy taking dogs to local parks so they can socialize with new friends or treat your dog to a puppacino at the local Starbucks. For the photogenic dogs, I like to give them a nice photoshoot. For the higher endurance dogs, I can take longer walks and even hikes if that's okay with you!

Pet care experience
Family owner for 2 dogs, dog uncle of 2 puppies, foster cat dad; walked, fed, and provided tender attention for all. Prioritizing much needed quality time with the furry friends! I now live in a home around Tantra Lake, bordering CU Boulder South Open Space and so there are plenty of trails to explore. I have a fenced backyard patio so if your pet enjoys relaxing outside we have the space to provide for that. I am happy to accommodate any special requests for you and your pet to ensure that your companion is well taken care of. Looking forward to connecting with you and your fuzzy friend! :)

Astro seemed to really enjoy his time with Derek -- and Derek seemed to enjoy Astro too, and that makes all the difference. We were really happy to hear about frequent walks and play time. Definitely we will leave Astro with Derek again when the opportunity arises.
We love Derek! He’s watched our animals (dog and cat) at our home for an extended trip away and most recently hosted our pup at his place for the weekend. Super communicative with lots of updates and photos, takes our high energy girl on off leash adventures and hikes, and lots of snuggles for our old man kitty. So glad to have Derek as a sitter option for our furry babes.
Derek took such good care of our golden retriever. Great communication and would definitely use again in the future!
