I am an active, animal-loving person excited to offer a safe, caring environment for your beloved pets. Although my yard isn’t fenced, I always keep dogs on a leash when outdoors to ensure their safety. I live in a wonderful, dog-friendly community with plenty of scenic walking paths—perfect for getting fresh air and exercise. I've shared my life with two incredible dogs who each lived happy, healthy lives to the age of 18 before crossing the rainbow bridge. Their memory inspires me to continue giving love and care to other animals. I'd be honored to look after your sweet fur baby and treat them like part of my family while you’re away.

Pet care experience
I cared for puppies all the way up to geriatric dogs, providing love, exercise, companionship, nutrition, comfort, safety, enrichment, routine, attention, socialization, and support for them.
Reviews
Our dogs came home safe and appeared well overall. That said, we would have appreciated more frequent updates during the stay and clearer communication regarding the damaged and replaced items. Future pet owners may want to discuss expectations around updates and supervision in advance.

I worry about boarding my 12.5 yo border collie so rarely go anywhere that he can’t go. I’ve had someone come to the house to stay with him but they had to bow out last second. Derek was available and I liked his bio. He stepped in and I couldn’t be more pleased. Especially when I picked my dog up and he was standing off leash staring at Derek’s boys playing ball. Anyone with a border collie knows that stare. Anyway, Champ found a second home and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Derek again.
Derek has been such a blessing for me and Willow. He’s very responsive and very dependable.
