Derek did a great job, came over ahead of time to meet the dogs and go through the house. Communicated promptly both ahead of the sit, and during. Left the house neat and tidy. And most importantly, we came home to dogs that seemed happy. Its good to feel confident in the experience when you are trusting someone with both your house and four-legged family.
I wholeheartedly recommend Derek—he’s absolutely fantastic with anxious dogs! My fearful Chihuahua, Squishee, takes time to warm up to new people, but Derek was incredibly patient and calm. He spent time getting to know him properly during the initial meet-up and never rushed him, even when it took a full 24 hours for Squishee to feel comfortable approaching him. That gentle, respectful approach made all the difference. He even shared photos of their weekend and very communicative. He kept my home tidy and left everything in perfect order, and most importantly, Squishee seemed relaxed, happy, and well-cared-for when I returned. I’ll definitely be requesting Derek again for future sits.
When you're thinking who would be the dream person to take care of you pet, that's Derek. My dog is always thrilled to see him. He has proved to be completely reliable. Most importantly, Derek is full of genuine kindness and patience. He has my full trust, which i don't say lightly.
Derek was very professional, and made us feel calm and comfortable about leaving Jango with him for a weekend in our house. He kept our high energy dog happy the entire time (even in the very cold winter)!
