Ive been on Rover for several years and Ive sat over 200 dogs. I pride myself on giving nothing less than 5 ⭐️ service every time! Your pet will have around-the-clock care. I may have to run a quick errand to the store, in which your pet will be briefly kenneled, but those durations are both brief and uncommon. I am extremely risk averse, in that I have a system that I use meticulously. For dog safety, we always do incremental integration, where dogs meet a few at a time, through doggy gates, over time to identify if there are any signs of concern - and to just make the introductions less stressful. I also have the entire home segmented using doggy gates to create different areas for play, rest, feeding - and more play! I also have doggy gates prior to both doors, to keep the escape artists in. The backyard is also completely fenced and concrete bolts are installed to ensure that the gate cannot be opened accidentally or through force. So, enough about the security side; now onto the play! We have multiple doggy beds, but the pups are allowed on the furniture too. They can hop on the couch and gaze out the window and keep those pesky mailmen away! 😂 They pretty much have their choice of comfort. The best part is that theyre also allowed to sleep in the bed with us! Thats right, no pups are sleeping alone when they stay here with us! Now, if you have rules at your home that prohibit anything, we will absolutely enforce those here, for you. We just leave the option open for our clients. We also buy multiple boxes of Beneful Toy Bones & Kong Toys to keep the stock always sufficient. We even have 4 Tether Tugs on back order that should be here, for the back yard, by early summer! And treats - dont even get me started on treats! 😀 So, in summation: my philosophy is safety, security, comfort, & cuddles. I look forward to hearing from you!

Derek is an awesome dog sitter! He took such great care of my girl, Lulu, and kept me updated throughout her stay. Lulu looked so happy and comfortable—it honestly seemed like she was on her own little vacation! He’s also very responsive and quick to reply, which gave me extra peace of mind and knowing she was in good hands. I would definitely trust Derek with Lulu again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone caring and dependable to look after their fur babies!

Derek is hands down the best sitter for my Beagle - Herman who is not usually able to handle new circumstances ! Derek was awesome sent pictures. Kept me updated while I was away. I have used his service twice and for sure will use Derek in the future .
What a wonderful program! We don't travel much and when we do, we always have e our fur baby with us. We love to sight see if it's a place we have never been, but most venues don't allow anything but service dogs. Our Rover Sitter gave us the opportunity to enjoy Graceland in Memphis. Knowing their Sitters have been heavily screened and then allowing us to cull through to pick someone that "fit" gave us peace of mind. Our little guy is our "baby" at this stage of our life. Schedule
I work from home, so my availability is almost entirely open, so absent a trip to the store or an errand, the pet is unkennelled and out with me at all times, lounging around in the bed, watching passerby's out the windows, or playing with the toys.

Safety, trust & environment
We live in the very safe, friendly, and pet-loving community, near University of Memphis. My home becomes your pets home, while they’re here. That means bed, couch, backyard, living room, bedroom - mi casa tu perro casa. During play time out back, in the fenced in backyard, I sit outside on our backyard furniture when its nice and just let them play. Otherwise, we will sit/play in the den and throughout the house or we just relax, on my bed(yes, all dogs get to sleep in bed - as long as their parents allow it), and say “hi” to all the passing neighbors and their pups, while I cuddle with them and watch some TV.
Pets
A typical day
Jack and I are very early risers. We are up by 4am and start on my classwork - or should I say “I am up by 4am.” Jack isnt getting up until its, at least, light blue outside. We go outside and potty as soon as he is up and I shower, while he eats. I then come back in my room and Jack lays w me or plays w his toys or bones. We go on about 1-2 walks per day.

- Their temperament and whether they’re good with other dogs. Jack is a lover and insanely playful, so if the dog is aggressive and mean, we would not be able to watch them. If theyre a little irritable, thats one thing and Jack knows when to chill and lay down, but if they are outright aggressive, that would just not work for us. I would also need to know their feeding schedule and if they have any medical or health-care related needs.
