Pet care experience
I'm the nephew of Jewel, owner of the Ragtime Australian Shepards kennel. I was practically raised by her and have been around dogs my entire life. Because of this I'm very comfortable around dogs and have experience walking, grooming, showing and taking care of large numbers of dogs as well as puppies. I've dogsat 12 Austrailian Shepards for multiple days straight, and less dogs countless times while my aunt travels away for dogshows. I've also dogsat for co-workers, family, and friends when they go out of town. I'm experienced with taking care of older dogs, giving medications and recognizing when a dog is injured. I'm very flexible with my hours and can currently work any time, any day. There's nothing that I enjoy more than the company of animals, and if they need someone to take care of them when their owners go out of town, or need someone to potty/walk them when you're stuck in traffic then I'm more than happy to help! I'm wanting to turn dogsitting into a fulltime career for myself so any business is appriciated.

Derek is a personable and punctual young man. He genuinely appears to care for the welfare of my pups. It was a pleasure to meet with Derek prior to the start of the unattended walks.
Derek has cared for our pets in our home in the past. He got on well with our dogs and they seem to love him including the nervous dog, and he was very reliable which is so important. He is friendly and I would definitely rely on him with our dogs cats and fish. An excellent choice.
Derek understands how important it is for my dogs to be safe and my instructions to be followed exactly. When caring for 7 to 14 busy dogs we have a system (indoor/outdoor, day/night rotation). All of my dogs and my cat are always happy when Derek comes to stay and especially love to cuddle with him pretty much anywhere and when I return it is always to clean waters and pools, poop scooped, trash out and happy dogs.
Derek is great with animals. He watched our two dogs, two cats, and whole pond of goldfish and koi while we were out on a beach trip for the weekend. All of our animals responded well to him; better even than they do to most people. He's kind to them, feeds them plenty, lets them out for exercise regularly, and keeps a close eye on them. I would definitely trust him to watch our animals again.
