I have over 15 years of experience caring for animals through my own pets, as well as pets belonging to family, friends, and Rover clients. I've also worked in a professional pet store and grooming salon, as well as in boarding and doggy daycare facilities, where I gained hands-on experience caring for dogs with a wide variety of personalities, energy levels, and care needs. Working in these environments taught me how to read dog body language, adapt to different temperaments, and provide safe, attentive care whether a dog is playful, shy, energetic, or prefers a quieter environment. I'm comfortable caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages—from young puppies who are still learning, to active adult dogs, to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and gentle care. I always follow each owner's routine as closely as possible, whether that means reinforcing training, sticking to feeding schedules, administering medications, or making sure your dog gets the exercise, enrichment, and affection they're used to. I'm comfortable administering oral medications, and I'm confident handling large breeds as well as breeds that are sometimes misunderstood, including Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, and Dobermans. One thing that's especially important to me is communication. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so I make it a priority to send regular photo and video updates so you can see how they're doing and enjoy your time away with peace of mind. Above all, I treat every dog as if they were my own. I take the time to learn their personality, respect their routine, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away.

We are SO happy with our decision to leave our dog with Denise. Denise went above and beyond to keep us updated and make us feel comfortable. We received photos, videos and text updates. She genuinely was interested our dogs preferences, routine and any quirks she has. She was professional and took all information seriously. She was so kind to calm our nerves as it had been a long time since we have had to leave her. Denise was open to suggestions in caring for our dog and was extremely accommodating with times to drop off and pick up our dog. When we picked up our dog, she was relaxed and clearly very comfortable in Denise’s lovely home. It is evident that Denise has a passion for for animals in the care she provided for our dog. We highly recommend Denise and look forward to future holidays and leaving our dog in Denise’s care.
Denise saved us at the last minute. We needed help quickly with our dog and she came to meet us the very next day. We knew right away that we could trust her. She took good care of our dog and sent us several pictures which gave us confidence. I recommend Denise 100%, she is great.

Schedule
Caring for dogs is a big part of my daily life, and I plan my schedule around making sure they're happy, active, and well cared for. Depending on your dog's personality and your preferences, our days may include walks, park visits, hiking trails, enrichment activities, or relaxing together at home. On days I go into the office, dogs are welcome to come with me to my dog-friendly workplace so they can spend the day with me instead of being left home alone. I also provide regular photo and video updates so you can see all the fun we're having together!

When dogs stay in my home, I treat them like part of the family. I provide a safe, comfortable environment and follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special instructions you provide. I take the time to get to know each dog's personality so they feel comfortable and at home. My goal is to provide plenty of love, exercise, enrichment, and companionship while keeping you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog is in good hands.
A typical day
Every day is tailored to your dog's personality, energy level, and routine. We usually start the morning with a potty break, breakfast, and some time to digest before heading out for a nice walk. Depending on what your dog enjoys, our day might include a trip to the park, a trail or hike, enrichment games, a playdate (with your permission), or simply relaxing in the yard or on the balcony. Throughout the day, your dog will have plenty of potty breaks, playtime, affection, and time to rest between activities. I love giving dogs the opportunity to sniff and explore on walks, practice tricks or training they already know, and make sure they end the day happy, fulfilled, and ready for a good night's sleep.
