Throughout my life, I’ve always carried a huge fear of dogs as I was bitten by one when I was younger. Was it the dog’s fault? Of course not, it was the fault of an irresponsible owner that didn’t train the dog properly. When I visited Denise’s house, after hearing she got a dog (that was growing rapidly), I was initially hesitant as I didn’t want to relive what happened when I was younger and started my fear of dogs in the first place. However, I still decided to visit and when I got there, her dog met me at the door with the most exciting and friendly demeanor. Although the dog was half my height (so… very large), all fear went away when I saw how friendly she had raised the dog to be. If that isn’t a testimony to the kind of loving and responsible pet caregiver she is, then I don’t know what is. She’s raised a wonderful pet and I know she’d take care of anyone else’s as she does her own.
