A One-on-One Dog Retreat
One-on-one, in-home dog boarding on Oahu for local dogs and dogs visiting the island. I care for just one dog, or two from the same household, at a time, with lots of hands-on time and attention throughout the day. Whether you live here or you're visiting Oahu with your dog, they won't be left to cope alone in a kennel or group setting. Days are active and hands-on: play, structure, and one-on-one attention, not hours in a crate. My fully fenced quarter-acre gives dogs room to run, sniff, and settle into a calm, predictable home routine. The result: steady, attentive care, so locals can travel and visitors can explore the island, without second-guessing where their dog is staying.

Denise was amazing! She really took care of Toro so well, and gave us such peace of mind while we were on our trip to Japan. There really isn't another place or person like this in Hawaii that is so understanding of more independent dogs like Shibas. We're so happy with the exercise Toro got in the yard, the beach walks, the updates/photos, and the extra care she put into helping our friend take Toro back to our house.

Genuinely couldn’t have been a better match for my Maka girl. This was her first time being sat and we were both a little nervous but Miss Denise took such good care of my girl, made me feel worry free the whole week. You don’t meet many compassionate people like her too often, thank you so much! Will surely book again (and Maka loved the big yard and walks on the beach)
Very responsive and communicative! Pepper had an amazing time. Would definitely recommend Denise, as she’s an experienced dog sitter, would definitely have her watch Pepper again if needed!
Denise went above and beyond for Kai and I think Kai was ready to spend the rest of her life with her new mommy! LOL! We have a toddler so she truly had a vacation retreat experience with Denise. Kai is anxious and can be aggressive around strangers, but she took to Denise right away and was immediately friendly. Denise took her to the beach every day, which she loves, and was clearly super happy and comfortable at Denise's home. Denise is super knowledgeable about dogs and took amazing care of her. She even gave Kai a bath and took care of a rash. I highly recommend Denise!

I care for a blind and deaf dog for two hours daily. While I am out, your dog will be inside the home that was specifically created with your dog comfort.

Each day follows a calm, structured rhythm based on the individual dog. Mornings begin with outdoor movement, followed by relaxed, unhurried meals. The day balances activity and rest, with space to move, play, and decompress, while gentle guidance is naturally integrated throughout. Evenings are calm and predictable, allowing each dog to fully settle in a safe, peaceful home with one-on-one attention..
A typical day
I'll be engaged with your dog anywhere from 21 to 24 hours daily. Every dog is treated like family. You'll be able to see everyday what we are up to!
