I was a dog mom to a cocker spaniel for 14 years and while I am not quite ready for the responsibilities of having another pet since I’ve just moved to the city, I would love to channel my expertise and love for dogs to help others. My Frida was with me from the day she was born until the very end, so I have experience with all stages (puppy, senior, etc) and am comfortable with medical care such as administering injections, feeding medicine, etc. I also have cared for my parents’ reactive beagle. I understand each dog has their individual routines and how important it is to follow them so I have no problem with those niche instructions to get them to eat their meals for example. In addition to my experience as a dog mom and dog sitter for friends and family, I have volunteered at pet shelters, feeding, grooming, and taking out for a hike dogs of various sizes with diverse needs.

Denise is a deeply compassionate and attentive pet caretaker! She’s taken care of my puppy Cooper countless times while I’ve traveled for work. I know Cooper can be a handful and require a lot of energy but Denise is consistently patient and caring towards him even when accidents occurred. She was also always very diligent with administering medication and always followed Cooper’s eating schedule. Denise is an angel and any family would be lucky to have her watch their fur babies!
Denise is a kind and compassionate. I have known her for over 10 years. And in those years I saw what it means to be a real dog owner. The way she took care of her dog Frida, was the most caring and loving way anyone, would care for their pet. She taught me many things of owning and caring for a pet and especially for an aging pet. Frida lived a full life and was loved, and all of our friends knew Denise as the dog girl and the girl who new where to go for the best parks and the best vets. Since Fridas passing (old age, she lived a long full life, that I am envious, she traveled a lot), Denise started to volunteer a local dog shelter and shared her love with dogs who needed someone patient and caring. If you want someone who loves dogs, has experience with aging pets and dog in general, and who has a lot of patience and caring then I think Denise is the perfect person.

Schedule
I am a researcher and I work remote with very flexible hours so I have no problem pet sitting 9-5 as I can take my work anywhere and have the flexibility to take breaks every two hours, if not more often, when needed.

When caring for pets in clients’ homes I take the pets’ routine (such as feeding, walking, medication, crate training schedules) very seriously and mostly individualize my care based on that in addition to providing play time. I have the flexibility to provide consistent attention given my “make your own” work schedule at work.
