I am the mother of four wonderful adult children, spouse to an amazing retired police officer, and cat-mom to two crazy kitties. I have always been an animal person and my youngest memories include having a family dog involved in every aspect of our lives. I hold dear the memories of numerous dogs that have touched my heart and the love of dogs and cats has never dimmed. The love of animals, and through a supportive husband, I gave up my job as a finance manager for a large car dealership and opened a small bordering and training center in Indiana. It specialized in high-end working dogs competing in all sorts of dog sports and law enforcement training. I’ve cared for a wide range size of dogs. From tea cup sized, to extra large. Due to a back surgery in 2021, I’ve limited myself to small to medium size pups. Upon my husband’s retirement from law enforcement and accepting a new job in Florida, we packed up and moved to this great state, but never lost our love for animals. I currently have two cats, a Savannah cat named Mr. Kitty and a domestic short hair named Oro. My schedule is very flexible. I spend my days cooking, baking and inshore fishing whenever I can. A typical day
I am very easy going! If your pet loves to play, we play. If they love long walks, we walk. If they just love rubs and snuggles, they get rubs and snuggles! Lastly, if they just want to be left alone, I give them their space. I understand having a stranger come by can be strenuous. :)

Pet care experience
As a long time cat and dog owner, I have experience personally, being a lifelong dog or cat owner, but also professionally, having previously ran my own boarding facility. I specialized in boarding and training puppies of all kinds. I can orally dispense medication to your pet as needed and can deal with any specialty dietary needs, including a raw diet. Having ran a boarding facility, I also understand that most animals don’t like change. Change stresses them out and can make their tummies upset. Not having their parent around can be stressful. Having a new person care after them can be stressful. So, “accidents” happen and that’s ok!! No clean up job is too big or small for me! Caring for a pet means caring for their needs. And if a clean up is needed, whether it’s bathing or scrubbing carpets, I try and do the best job possible!

Delila is an amazing person. She has boarded my dog any time I needed someone. She's responsible, attentive, caring, and loves my dog like she was her own. Delila keeps me updated with texts or pictures of how my dog is doing. There's no one else I'd rather have watch my dog (animals) other than Delila.
