Hey there! My name is Delaney and I am the owner of Wild Iris Pet Sitting; a highly rating pet sitting company based in Fairbanks, Alaska. I recently relocated to Winston Salem and am excited to offer exceptional pet care services to the community! I have over 10 years of employed pet care experience as a pet sitter, veterinary assistant, and kennel attendant. I graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a Bachelors degree in biology and much of my coursework was animal/wildlife focused. I started my own business offering professional pet sitting in 2021 and it is now my full time job. I provide care for all types of critters from dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, ferrets, rats, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, reptiles, fish, chickens…you name it! My goal is to bring reliable, safe and quality care to pet owners in our community. There is no better way to travel than to travel with peace of mind knowing that your pet is comfortable at home with a trusted care giver. As a professional pet sitter, I take pet care very seriously and continue to educate myself on the most up to date standards of pet care. I am a member of Pet Sitters International (PSI) and have received certification through PSI as a Certified Professional Pet Sitter. Delaney was so professional and caring. My dog is special needs so it can be a challenge watching him. But she adapted and did a great job. I was a little cautious about using the rover app, but Delaney has eased those worries from me. She even gave me updates and sent me pictures. I highly recommend Delaney!!! My experience has been a great one with her!
Delaney was quick and responsive in her communications with us upon our initial contact. She made time for a home visit to meet our pets and learn about housesitting for us. During our time away from home we received pictures and updates periodically. Upon arriving home it was obvious our pets and home had been well cared for - medications received, exercised, etc... We will readily rebook with Delaney.
Delaney did an exceptional job troubleshooting my special needs dog who gets aggressive, depressed and needy when I’m gone. Was resourceful to meet her needs and ultimately make her happy. The extra effort was much appreciated. She sent me lots of pictures and that put me at ease. Highly recommend her expertise and compassion.
I can't say enough great things about Delaney, I met with her a few weeks before she watched our dog. She was always prompt and confirmed our meeting time which I appreciated. Our dog loved her and bonded instantly, which he doesn't usually do. She sent daily updates and pictures, we came home to a happy dog and a very clean house. I can't wait to hire her again for our next trip!
I've known Delaney for a longtime and she has more experience than anyone I know at taking care of animals. After seeing her take care of other people's dogs, I am always more than confident to trust her with my own!
Delaney is a loving and caring person in general, but when it comes to dogs she takes it to the next level. She has experience in Vet Clinics, has dog sat numerous times, and is very accommodating when it comes to certain needs each dog requires. 10/10 best dog sitter I have ever had!

Schedule
I am a full-time pet sitter, meaning that I take care of multiple homes at once but also meaning I have a bit of flexibility to meet your pets needs. I also book outside of Rover through my website so my schedule can get busy. I recommended that new clients request drop-in pet sitting and dog walking services at least a week in advance.
