I would not recommend Delaney and frankly think she should be banned from Rover. Delaney acted extremely unprofessionally and clearly tried to get out of watching my dog by claiming he was sick when he was not. Within 24 hours or leaving town, Delaney messaged me claiming that my dog had kennel cough and fleas, both things he is vaccinated/medicated against. I had been with my dog 24 hours earlier and he was completely healthy. She messaged me Saturday evening stating that she would no longer be able to care for my dog and she would need to leave that same night but could stay until the morning if I could not find a replacement that night. Rover ended up messaging me later that evening letting me know she would not be permitted to leave until a suitable replacement was arranged. Unfortunately I ended up spending almost $500 to fly across the country because Delaney gave me 0 confidence that she would not abandon my dog. She claimed that she had to care for her own animals because her husband was out of town and she couldn’t risk getting her own animals sick. Why she agreed to house sit for me when that was the situation, I will never know. She was unwilling to wait until a vet had seen my dog to confirm whether her self-diagnosis was true. She completely stopped responding to me and refused to acknowledge whether she would remain at my home until I got back to Colorado. Rover customer service was extremely unhelpful and just kept assuring me she would be required to stay at my house despite Delaney refusing to respond for over 16 hours. Despite my dog seeming completely healthy when I got home, I took him to the vet the next morning to let a professional assess the situation. He had no kennel cough and no fleas…. the vet gave him a completely clean bill of health. This whole nightmare has left me out hundreds of dollars and forced me to cancel a trip I planned 6 months ago. Delaney has done nothing to try to make this right or acknowledge her unprofessional behavior. I would give 0 stars if that were possible.

Delaney is amazing. I am 💯 at peace when I leave my cats in her care. She is the most caring and commucative caretaker we have ever had!

Delaney was wonderful. She took care of my 2 dogs and cat. She updated nightly with what activity they did for the day, including going on walks, going to the park, and their eating habits! The house was in pristine shape when she left! I would recommend Delaney and I will definitely book her again!

Delaney is awesome!! My dog is extremely anxious and she was incredibly patient with him. Delaney sent lots of updates and even was kind enough to fix the water pressure in my kitchen sink. I can’t recommend her enough!!

Delaney is an absolute gem!!! She is so kind and thoughtful, and she literally treated our three dogs like they were hers. She sent photos and videos of them playing and we could see our pets were in the best hands, so we were at complete ease being away. We knew Delaney was great when we returned home and our dogs just didn't seem to care we were gone! Definitely will always contact Delaney for our pets care when we must go somewhere!

Delaney has has a love for animals her whole life. From a young age she has been gentle and caring for any animal she has come in contact with. She has had both cats and dogs as pets and treated them as they were her children. She makes sure they feel safe and protected, that they are well fed and well loved. Not only does she have a love for her own pets but I have seen pets of other people, who typically don't like strangers, take a liking to Delaney. They come and sit on her lap, nuzzle up to her and even listen to gentle commands. I have suggested to her, because of her love for and gentleness with animals, she would thrive at being a pet sitter. She has been great at helping family and friends with their pets and I believe she will be great at caring for client's pets as well.
