As life long animal lovers, my husband Ben and I are a great option to care for your pet. For several years, neighbors, coworkers, and friends have counted on me to walk, feed, and care for their pets. In college, I worked as a vet tech assistant at a vet clinic in Boulder for 3 years. The experience I gained working at an animal hospital makes me an incredibly reliable and knowledgeable caretaker.

Delaney is a caring and attentive dog sitter and dog walker. We have an older dog and she gave us lots of updates on how she was doing while we were away.

I strongly and enthusiastically recommend Delaney Koontz as a dog/cat/house sitter! Beyond her friendly, nurturing, and calm demeanor, she's a pre-med major and works as a veterinary technician, which are significant bonuses that provide peace of mind in case of emergency. If your pet requires medication, I'm confident Delaney has the skills and experience to successfully administer it. She is my go-to, first-choice kitty and house sitter whenever I leave town. I always return to a clean litterbox and plenty of food and fresh water in my cat's bowls, and I'm welcomed by a happy fur baby who had obviously been given plenty of attention and socialization. Delaney stays at my home for a healthy chunk of time during each visit to play with my cat and she texts me pictures. My cat interacts with Delaney happily and excitedly, which is not the case with just any visitor. Another bonus: Delaney has done a fantastic job keeping my outdoor plants alive in hot and dry Boulder summer weather. She's also observant and contacts me immediately if anything seems awry or unusual in the house, such as a small flickering flame in my gas fireplace that she hadn't previously noticed. Before she had regular access to a car, I trusted her to use mine while I was away (my offer!) Delaney is exceptionally responsible and mature beyond her years. She is a natural animal lover who easily makes connections with every pet she meets. Her love for animals extends to all species, not just cats, and she has extensive experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I know she holds her family's Rottweiler and large rescue mix particularly close to her heart. I suggest getting on her radar fast before every pet owner in the area books her schedule solid!

Schedule
I am a second year medical student and Ben works full time. I do at lot of work from home and can hang out with your pet while I study. There are some days that I am required to go in person, so they’ll have to be okay to be alone for up to 5 hours during the work day!

A typical day
I love to make sure your dogs and cats are in great hands and are taken care of! Your dog and I will go on fun walks, play with toys, and do anything else to make sure they are happy and healthy
