I have both professional and personal dog care experience While I was growing up, there was always at least one animal in our house. I also have experience training puppies for an organization called Custom Canines Service Dog Academy (CCSDA), out of Madison, WI. With CCSDA, I raised two golden retrievers, one who went on to become a total access service dog for a veteran and her family. Training includes a lot of socialization and bringing the dogs everywhere to get them used to being out in public and working amidst distractions as well as obedience and special skills training. I most recently worked in Ely, Minnesota at a sled dog yard. Responsibilities included feeding dogs, handling the dogs, basic doggie first aid check-ups after each run and more while managing the working dogs. I have learned a lot about animal behavior through those experiences, and I am very comfortable around all types of dogs.

I am living with three dogs at the moment. My family has two loving labs (7 & 5) who get on well with each other and other dogs. My sister also has a golden retriever in the house who is 1 year old. I love to take the three dogs for walks around the neighborhood and because they are friendly and get on well with other dogs, we occasionally make trips to the dog parks in the area. It is unlikely, but if I have one of the dogs with me, I would definitely clear that to make sure it is okay with you and your pets first.

Della has been such a great sitter to my small pup! My dog has some medical issues and Della is very receptive to my instructions and sends lots of pics when she’s watching her. Very happy to have her do check-ins and overnights.
Della is great with all kinds of animals! Despite having a cat allergy, she and my three very picky cats get along so well. I’ve also witnessed firsthand her great appreciation for dogs. She’s a very responsible and respectful person and would be a great pet caregiver!
Delaney is a hard working young lady. I trust her with my pets! And crumble, my puppy, is so happy to see her everytime! After Delaney visits, Crumble is exhausted which is super nice and easy to come home to. With Delaney’s help I do not need to worry about exercising my dog after an exhausting day at work instead I can rest. I can assure you that Della is very responsible and gets the job well done!

Schedule
Currently I am in a bit of a transition, I just got back from traveling and I am in GB, working and taking a class. Using this as a side gig to make a little bit of extra money before I move to Maine in the spring. I am available on weekdays between 9 am and 9 pm and most weekends as well. I can be pretty flexible as to which days and times I am available, so just reach out and we can work something out!
