Hello! My name is Laney, I work from home and am based in Ballard. Growing up, my parents adopted several shelter dogs, so I have experience training and walking dogs with all different temperaments and levels of training. Taking care of animals feels very meaningful to me and I will always treat dogs with patience, love and respect.

Delaney was great with our dog Mugsy! It was his first time boarding and she made him very comfortable. The detailed updates and photo collages were much appreciated as we could see he looked happy. I was concerned about how he would behave living with another dog, but Delaney's dog Mac is super sweet and probably compensated for some bratty behavior from our Mugsy. Definitely recommend.

We could tell Lani had a blast staying with Delaney and Mac! We had never used Rover before so we were a bit worried (more because we wanted to make sure our pup behaved well around Mac), but Delaney provided great updates (with pics!) and put us at ease right away. We would love for Lani to stay with her again!
Delaney (and Mac) were wonderful! She's communicative and makes sure the dogs are having a great time and plenty of exercise.
Delaney was an awesome sitter. She kept us updated daily and our dog was comfortable and happy with her. She only takes one dog at a time and our dog and hers got along extremely well. We will use her again!

Schedule
I currently work from home all week, so I am available everyday to walk and give attention to your fluffy friend. I am happy to follow any schedule your dog follows, and am familiar with giving medication to older dogs.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fully fenced backyard and also have a dog of my own (he's a 35 lb. cattle dog mix who likes other dogs). Pets will be in my eyesight when in the backyard and I only allow food to given in separate rooms to prevent any potential resource guarding issues. Currently, I am only taking one dog at a time (in addition to my dog) so I can devote lots of time to your pet and make sure they are safe and having fun.

A typical day
My typical routine involves a large 45 minute walk in the morning, a 20 minute walk around noon, a 15 minute walk in the afternoon and a walk between 30-45 minutes after dinner. I love walking to the Ballard Locks as well as other neighborhood parks. I also love playing fetch in the yard with dogs, or letting my dog play with your dog if that works well.
