I can't say enough good things about Dea as a caring, knowledgeable and experienced pet sitter. I recommend Dea very highly for any pet caregiver position. She is very knowledgeable about pets, extremely responsible and reliable, and very trustworthy. For ten years, she took expert care of our pet cat, house plants, and garden when we took trips. She had no problem giving our cat her daily thyroid medications, making sure our cat was eating well, and changing the kitty litter as needed. What's special about Dea is that she made sure that our cat received some tenderness and affection. We know our cat was well cared for. I think your firm would be extremely lucky to have Dea care for your client's pets.

Schedule
Being semi-retired and self-employed gives me freedom to create my own schedule. I'm able to fit most timeframes except prior to 9 am as I have my own menagerie to care for first thing!

Safety, trust & environment
Having had VIP clients in DC for so long, safety and security are ingrained in me. It's critical for your animals, your home, and my own well-being. I follow your instructions or my own protocols as needed, since every pet and home is unique. In my own home, your pet would have their own separate room/space and/or be closely monitored when in the rest of the house. If I accept a mini dog for boarding, they will be on a leash at all times when outside for potty breaks or a walk.

A typical day
I tailor activities to each animal. I'll find out what their favorite things are and maybe even discover new ones. I'm good at gleaning information from critters!
