Information Deidra s. would like to know about your pet
Let me know ahead of time how your dogs are around people and other pets. I like taking my dog places and getting them out of the house. I’m great with handling these situations as long as im aware. For instance, my dog gets hyper with little kids so I avoid these situations or am prepared for that and try to calm him by having him sit and focus on me. Little nuances and quirks specific to your dog are important for me to understand to ensure they aren’t anxious and are getting the exercise and attention they need.
A typical day
If the dog and pet owner allows it I will take the dog on a long walk or hike and then do some off leash play in my yard or at an open park. I normally do 2 long (2 hours) play time that fits the dogs needs whether that’s throwing the tennis ball, a hike, or a long walk. That is what I currently do with my dog and that’s how I would treat yours. I take my dog on a 1 hour or 1.5 hour walk/run (leashed) in the morning then I allow him to play in the yard while I work. I work for approximately 8 hours but I come home for lunch and allow him to go in the yard. When I get home I take him to an open area to throw the tennis ball for an hour then we do an hour walk. I can shift this schedule to fit a dogs’ needs.

Pet care experience
I have experience caring for a wide variety of dog personalities and behaviors, including large breeds, strong pullers, high energy dogs, dogs with strong prey drives, reactive dogs, and dogs that may be uncertain around other animals or unfamiliar people. I understand that every dog is different, and I adjust my approach based on what makes your dog feel safest and most comfortable. Whether your dog enjoys lots of social interaction or prefers space and slower introductions, I’m happy to accommodate their individual needs. I also have a Golden Retriever of my own and personally use Rover for my own dog, so I truly understand the importance of trust, communication, and peace of mind when leaving your pet in someone else’s care. No instructions or routines are ever “too much” for me because I know every dog is different and what works for one may not work for another. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while also making you feel confident while you’re away. I do require a meet and greet prior to booking so I can better understand your dog’s routine, personality, and needs while also making sure we’re a great fit for each other. I believe communication and consistency are extremely important when caring for someone’s pet. My partner and I provide care together, which allows for added flexibility and availability. My partner stays home full time while I work, and on weekends, holidays, and after 5 PM, both of us are available to help care for the dogs. We do ask that meet and greets include both of us so we can fully understand your expectations and ensure your dog is comfortable with everyone involved in their care.
Reviews

Deidra took amazing care of our little girl!! She worked with us to meet our pup’s normal schedule, and was sure to keep us thoroughly updated with check in reports for each visit! She also kept our pup active and socialized with her own wonderful pup, Teddy. We will look to have Deidra care for our pup again next trip and would highly recommend the same if you want total piece of mind and care for your special family member as well!

Daily updates and took great care of my pups. Would definitely book again!
Deidra would make a great pet sitter whether you want her to walk/exercise or just watch over your dog and care for them. She is an active person and loves to run with her own dog or walk dogs. She has always treated my dog like her child and is very kind and loving towards them but also understands their boundaries and unique characteristics.
Deidra would make the perfect pet sitter. She has watched and cared for my golden retriever. Multiple times for short periods and long periods and Teddy could not have been happier. Deidra takes the time to care for pets and gives them 100% attention. She is diligent about walking and exercising her pets And taking them for fun outings. She is attentive and compassionate and he’s a number one pet lover. She is very active person herself, so does not mind getting down and dirty with the dogs and cats for playtime. She is also very trustworthy and responsible and would take care of someone’s pets like they were her own , giving them the atlas love and attention.
