Compassion for animals has come naturally to me since I was very young. Growing up, animals were always a crucial part of our household, and seen as an extension of our family unit. We housed animals of all sizes; dogs, cats, birds, and rodents. I'm a strong advocate for animal welfare and rescue, and spend the majority of my time working for a non-profit rescue organization, managing a team of compassionate individuals that share my love for this cause. I have fostered both dogs and cats in my home, and have experience with numerous breeds, behaviors, and sizes, from neonates to seniors. My daily duties and responsibilities have shifted primarily to feline care over the last couple of years, and I have been very fortunate to expand my knowledge and experience through my work in rescue, and continue to take classes to further my education in this field. I have cared for animals that may not have had the privilege to the best start in their lives, and have made my personal mission to give as many as possible a second chance to be loved and well cared for. I currently oversee and aid in the process from intake into our rescue, and serve as an adoption counselor, reviewing applications and meeting with families to help find the perfect forever friend. I have extensive experience with pet sitting, and have provided services in client homes for various durations, including daily drop bys/walks, several hours, vacations, and the occasional overnight. I have experience and am comfortable with administrating oral, ocular, transdermal, and subcutaneous medications as well as following dietary supplementation and/or restrictions. Pet cleanup is just as important, and is something I am very familiar and comfortable with, as this is a daily part of my home and work life. I view being chosen to care for your pet as a privilege. I feel that being entrusted with a part your family is very valuable, and I strive to give you peace of mind knowing that they're in good hands.
