My pups are so special to me. Spoiled describes them best. I have a dog door to a fenced back yard. We have lots of dog toys and a dog bed in every room. My dogs are under 25 lbs, & have their own car seats for “backseat driving” and a special basket for bike rides. They go everywhere with me- camping, hiking, paddle boarding and even to work. I work full time typically M-F. I am a homebody so when I am not working I am at home and my pups are with me. I am able to run home in the middle of the day if needed. My pups generally sleep when I am at work with occasional patrols of the backyard to keep the pesky squirrels off the fence or to check out some other perceived threat such as leaves blowing across the lawn, neighbors chatting- in their own yard- or innocently walking their dog on the community sidewalk 20 feet from our yard. LOL.

When I am home the dogs have access to the whole house. When I am away I shut bedroom doors and they can hold down the sofa or recliner. They always have the ability to go outside to the fenced backyard. I have a security system with outside cameras and an indoor camera so that I can check on them when I am at work. I don’t give my pups much people food but they enjoy carrots, apple, or plain Greek yogurt and blueberries frozen in a kong toy. We go camping during the summer, visit dog parks, and hang with friends.

Information Dee E. would like to know about your pet
Please share any information that will make your pup feel more comfortable at my home. Tell me about your pup- age, breed, daily routine and their personality. How do they do with other dogs? Typically I limit the number of extra pups to 2, maybe 3 if I know the pups from previous visits with us. Tell me if your dog is outgoing or shy? Are they house trained? I like to know their food and feeding schedule and if they use any special bowls? Does your pup have any special needs? Hearing or vision loss? Arthritis? Etc. Tell me about your pups typical day? Do they like to chew on Bully strips? Play fetch? Car rides? Go for walks or bike rides? If they come to stay with me I’d like to know if they take any medication? Who is their Veterinarian? I am a registered nurse and know first aid/CPR but my real dog training has come from the pups I’ve rescued that had special needs as well as the changes that just come as a dog ages into their final years.
A typical day
After morning cuddles and breakfast than we like to work out in the yard, go for a walk to check out the neighborhood or hang on the sofa and watch a movie.

Pet care experience
Dog lover for life. Growing up we always had pets- dogs, ducks and at times even cows and horses. As an adult I’ve always had a pair of dogs. March of 2021- I lost my older pup and it was just Murphy and me. We were lonesome so we started dog sitting with Rover. In November 2021- Elsie, also westie joined the family. Elsie too loves Rover visitors. I know how hard it can be to find someone to care for your pup(s) when you have to go out of town. I invite your pups(s) to make themselves at home with us during their stay!
Reviews

Dee took amazing care of my puppy on his first "vacation" from home. I knew he was being loved and taken excellent care of. Dee sent me so many updates and photos which helped this pup-mom's nerves.
Dee was amazing. She communicated very well and I never felt worried about my dog while he was with her.

What positive superlatives can I use for Dee, Murphy, and Elsie but that they are the quintessential hostesses and host! I am a total worrier I have two Westies who are like my children. My kids and I had to take a sudden trip out-of -town when I found Dee. Dee was a lifesaver. Our boys were treated with love and kindness and Dee faithfully sent photos and updates daily. We have subsequent trips coming up and will absolutely come back to Dee. She and her Westies are wonderful. Thank you, Dee, Murphy, and Elsie!!

Our pugs LOVE staying with Dee, Murphy and Elsie! And Dee is on top of things like this time when I didn't include enough food for the stay, Dee handled it, which was very nice, and we didn't have to worry while away on vacation. Highly recommend.
