I make sure to get an exact outline of what is expected/allowed for the pet, and am not shy about requesting elaboration if there’s any confusion on my part. Additionally, I like to do what I can to keep them mentally stimulated with games, activities, and some light obedience training/reinforcement so they can hopefully carry that good behavior over to their daily life.

Allergies, diet, what they may be afraid of, exactly who they play nice with and how well-socialized they are, particularly given the limitations Covid standards placed on us at the time of many pets’ adoptions and upbringing.
A typical day
I try to go somewhere new - dogs adore new smells, it’s like their version of television. I’m always a big fan of the dog park, but if it’s just us in the house, I’ve seen how fun a scent-hunting game can be for a pup. There are lots of things to do that are entertaining for the both of us.

Pet care experience
I began doing pet sitting in 2016 for family & friends, and that was most of my sitting experience until I began my dog training certification. Now I’ve been in pet care professionally for two years, and have had my dog trainer certification for half of that.

Declan did a fantastic job watching Gordon and Steven while I was away for the weekend. He stayed at my house, kept everything clean, followed all of the instructions, and took great care of the boys. When I got home, the house was in excellent shape, the dogs were happy and well cared for, and it was obvious they had gotten plenty of attention. Communication was easy throughout the stay, which gave me peace of mind while I was traveling. I would absolutely trust Declan to watch my dogs and home again, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and responsible sitter.
Declan was amazing with our two dogs. He sent pictures during their walks and playtime and communication was awesome. We would have him again and highly recommend him to others.
Declan did a wonderful job taking care of our pups while we were out of town! He sent me updates without me asking and that was very much appreciated! :)
Declan was very knowledgeable and gave me some good pointers for my spoiled pups. I tried what he suggested and was amazed to discover it worked like a charm. He didn't judge me for not walking my own dogs and having to work all the time instead of caring for them like I want to. Instead he made himself part of the solution and I really appreciated that.
