Safety, trust & environment

Depending on your pets’ needs, we can either stay in and snuggle or head to the local bark park! I’m not physically capable of running 20-odd miles, so higher energy pups are not the ideal match.🙏🏻😅 That being said, I have a special knack toward fear-aggressive pups and elders who just need love and compassionate care. I’ve worked with multiple owners previously with repeat meet-up’s before everyone felt confident in both mine and the doggo’s safety. Spoiler alert: everything always ended happy and well, sometimes even muzzles off and snuggles on lap!🥰

Information Debra R. would like to know about your pet

It helps me to know: -is your pet familiar and comfortable/unchallenged being around a small child? -am I dealing with a beta/alpha personality?; -are we actively working on establishing consistency with specific commands?; -where's their favorite scratch spot & toy?; -should we keep other animal/species interactions to a minimum, or do they play well with others? -how long have you been the proud and loving owner? -what is/are their high value reward(s)? I have no breed preferences, though small & medium are the types I've previously owned; it's hard not to laugh at a small dog with a huge personality!

A typical day

Doggie Day Care for me is outdoor adventuring meets fav indoor toys... there’s always a place to go depending on the pup’s personality/safety concerns. *Extended time available for trusted small kid-friendly pets* I *also* own a car in case a bark park or quiet hike in nature is preferred! We can fetch, play tag, get a healthy outdoor brushing, even some pup massage from my decade+ experience as an Esthetician massaging humans professionally. If they'd rather Netflix & chill during house sits/drop-in’s, my lap is always available for cuddles.

Pet care experience

I've grown up with a love for ALL animals since I was a tiny child. There were birds, hamsters, and *always* a summer pet to watch from school. In high school I claimed the task of training our new 3mo Alpha female ChowChow Ginger to become the sweetest, well-tempered stranger-tolerant glory! #BestGalEver I've owned two dogs since my 20’s, always have dated pet owners, and frequently am found connecting to pets>other adults at any social event. Currently I’ve had the amazing pleasure of connecting to my beloved cat Lulu for the past 11 years, learning so much more than just hanging with my friends’ kitties. I'm inertly skilled at bonding quickly, and give all my focus when in a pets’ presence. I've also grown up with a heavy theatre background, so funny voices or public silliness to benefit your special family member is ALWAYS a priority! Always keen to positively reinforce when met with challenging situations (growls or barks at another dog; pull lead; ignoring known commands), whether with praise or high value food/treats. Since sitting on the Rover platform I’ve now had the pleasure to expand to: cats, chickens, bunnies, turkeys, & a milking goat! Thanks for reading how I'd love to help your family out!

Excellent. This was our first time using a dog sitter and Debra helped us feel our dog was well cared for - we got solid updates and our dog seems to have had a good time. Would recommend.

Debra was great! She was quick to respond to our inquiries, made the reservation very easy and was communicative and timely throughout our reservation. She also went above and beyond - we had a last minute scheduling error (on our end) and Debra was able to check in on our dogs and feed them. She really made us feel relaxed while we were away and our house was left in great condition. Would certainly re-book Debra again!
