As a retired veterinary assistant I have worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes and have not met one I didn’t love. I now have the time to welcome your fur babies into my home to take care of them as if they were my own. I often take care of my daughter’s German Shepherd Maddox , and I travel to Vancouver every summer to puppy sit for my second grand-pup Rosie. Sadly my own dogs have crossed the rainbow bridge, but my Cavalier King Charles Sandy was with me for 16 years , then my Cocka-poo Samson for 18 years. That now leaves my home and my heart open too caring one on one for your pet.

Debra O looked after our dog while we attended a wedding & it went extremely well. Debra updated us with pictures & videos so I was comforted knowing everything was going well. Our dog is older & required some extra care & attention. Debra set my mind at ease right away that she was up to the task of looking after our dog & his special needs...she even hand fed him when he was fussy & wouldn't eat. I could tell that our "baby" was happy & well cared for...everything went so well that we've booked our next stay with Debra right away. I would highly recommend Debra.
Debra is an excellent sitter! She was responsive and understanding with any issues or questions we had. She Kept us posted throughout the stay which we appreciated. Her home looked safe for dogs. I would recommend everyone to Debra.
Debra was amazing with our Bruce! He warmed right up to her. She provided all the toys and love you could for your dog! Would be using her again soon!
Debra was wonderful with our dog Rosie. The whole process was very stress free with Debra meeting up with us beforehand and updating us throughout Rosie’s stay. Debra is professional and communicated with us throughout the Rosie’s stay. Our dog can be sensitive but know she had a great time with Debra. We will be using Debra again and would highly recommend her.
Carly had a great time at Debra's. Carly is a very nervous dog and Debra was very calm with her. I would certainly recommend Debra for your fur babies. We received pictures daily of Carly playing which was very much appreciated by us knowing that she was having fun while we were away. I will certainly rebook.
We had our 3 month old bernedoodle puppy stay with Debra for 4 days. I would 100% recommend Debra to care for your pet while you are away. She always kept me informed with plenty of photos, videos, and updates along the way. Cali had an amazing time and we will be using Debra for future dogsitting.

Schedule
I am available for your pets 24/7. I may be out of the house for an hour here or there running errands but my time will be dedicated, for the most part, to your pet. I enjoy a nice walk in the neighbourhood, or a short drive gets us to the beach for some fun

Safety, trust & environment
Having worked as a veterinary assistant for many years and had aging dogs myself, I am comfortable taking care of your senior pets and administering any necessary medications. I have a fully fenced yard for your pet to run around in. (Side fences are 6’ but back fence is only 44 inches so if you have a jumper or an escape artist I might not be the place for you. ) I have everything needed for your pup to stay but feel free to bring all their own things to make them feel more at home. (All dogs need to have some form of parasite prevention on board and must be crate trained . In-tact males or females in heat are not accepted.)
A typical day
All pets are different and require differing levels of exercise. There is an off leash dog park close to my house and a park close by to take a walk to. The beach parkway is always a favourite place to go.
