Safety, trust & environment
Both my dogs are crate trained, leash-trained, off-leash trained, and understand and obey these commands: Up, Load, Down, Sit, Stay, Come, Yes, Good, No, Wait, Off, Out, Shake, High Five and Back. Additionally, Bentley understands Left, Right, and Go Straight. If you use other command words, I will adapt.
Information Debra C. would like to know about your pet
Besides the obvious info regarding food and scheduals, I also need to know who's their vet, and at least one additional trusted contact for any emergencies.
A typical day
Every canine -and canine age- is different. A puppy that is learning potty training and leash walking will have a mix of stimulation and rest. Done properly, learning basic commands (Sit, Stay, Come, Down, Out, Heel, Off) *is* "play". I can incorporate those into creative walks with dogs. And cats! I have friends that walked their Maine Coon on a leash. And in regards to feline friends, I cuddle, pet, feather bop and jingle ball toss with the best of them. However, the cats I sit regularly don't care for strangers and just run and hide!

Pet care experience
Welcome to my pack! I'm Debi, with 45 years experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes, from puppies to seniors. I have 2 dogs, Bentley, my 13 year old Blackmouth Cur, and Dually, my 8 y/o Sable GSD. I have a deep love for all dogs, and especially enjoy sport and working dogs that "need a job". I also enjoy spoiling them! Brushing, walking, hiking, throwing a ball, a stick or playing tug, I can be as gentle (or alpha) as needed to ensure your dog is feels safe and loved. PLEASE NOTE: Additional fees may be applied for short-notice bookings and booking assistance/modifications that exceed 3 edits or require more than 15 minutes of tutorial time on how to properly navigate and set up your booking in the Rover app.

Reviews

As always, thanks for doing a great job looking after our cats!

Thank you AGAIN for the second weekend helping us out lately! First for a funeral, then for a quick vacation, the dogs and I very much appreciated the help and ability to be flexible with times. Our young pitbull can be super energetic and Debra seemed to handle both him and our old man Hank very well! Thank you!

Appreciate the care and attention to our two dogs! Debra was great!

Thanks Debra for watching our dogs while we had a funeral to attend. It was nice to not have more to worry about!
