Caring for dogs like they're ours
What dogs love about spending time with us: 1) They have a sense of comfort & trust. I am always attentive with them, since I work from home and have worked in (human) emergency rooms and psychiatric facilities so handle chaos well. 2) My lifestyle is flexible based on what they prefer (long walks or relaxing) and they usually have 2 people available 3) my apartment faces S/SE and gets sun throughout the day. Dogs seem to LOVE sunbathing. 4) I am close to downtown parks and 3 blocks from the new section of the waterfront. Giving them a variety of smells each day. 5) For you - I’m a decent photographer and enjoy getting shots that showcase your dog’s unique personality Specific experience: terriers, Maltese, shih tzu, poodles, spaniels. High energy dogs needing exercise as well as dogs with a lot of various anxieties & prefer being with someone all day. Senior dogs and puppies (outside of newborns). While there are no other animals currently in my home, I have had my own dogs for nearly twenty years and been around various small and medium/large dogs for over a decade. I enjoy taking care of dogs, walking, playing, feeding, and bathing. I even trim my parent's dogs hair. I live in a one bedroom apartment so likely a better fit for small to medium dogs. If you need a recurring service would love to build a relationship with your dog so he feels comfortable visiting someone he knows. Reach out for any questions!

Deboye was wonderful with Johnny, and we would 100% book with him again. From the start, he took all of our notes and concerns seriously, which gave us so much peace of mind. We could tell Johnny was in great hands and being really well cared for. He was so sweet about meeting Johnny at his own pace and never pushing him too quickly, which helped him settle in comfortably. He picked up on Johnny’s little quirks and routine right away, stayed on top of his meds, and kept him on his normal schedule. We also really appreciated all of the updates and photos throughout the stay — we missed our pup a lot, and it was such a comfort getting those check-ins and knowing he was doing well. Deboye is attentive, responsible, flexible, and genuinely kind. We’re so grateful for the care he gave Johnny and wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again. We’d absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for someone thoughtful and trustworthy to care for their dog.
Jamie and Deb were wonderful, they caught on pretty quickly to Esther’s quirkiness and orneriness and didn’t let her run the show. They were caring and sent daily pictures and updates, she even got baths, she came home smelling clean and fresh! We will not hesitate to use them again to take care of Esther. Thank you both so very much.

Schedule
My partner and I work from home and do not have pets, so I would love to spend time with them! At least one of us is home most of the time. If we leave it’s for a couple hours at a time, max. And are open to bring the dog if it’s not hot.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in an apartment and do not have any pets. I would be able to visit homes or other apartments to care for pets.I am able to spend a lot of them with them and walk them around the neighborhood or park depending on their energy level. They will receive a lot of love!
A typical day
On weekdays I usually prepare breakfast around 8-9 and go on an hour walk prior to working. Then I will work for four hours or so, provide dinner and go on another walk. In the evenings I am usually home studying or will entertain the dog. Weekends I often go to exercise classes and run errands but my partner is working at the apartment. He is even better with dogs than me. Our friends and family call him the “dog whisperer” 😂 For boarding you will meet us both! Also open to continue training if your dog is working on that. Some dogs like listening to music or watching a movie or being brushed. I will let you tell me what your dog prefers!
