I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life. My grandparents rescued multiple dogs and cats, and growing up in their home taught me early about compassion, patience, and what animals need to feel safe and understood. When I was six, my family brought in a frightened kitten we found hiding in our garage, which sparked a lifelong love of animals. Later, while attending university in Alaska, I adopted a cat who lived to be twenty. In 2020, I completed a certified dog training program while raising a high-energy working-breed mix. That experience gave me hands-on knowledge of leash manners, impulse control, enrichment, and positive-reinforcement techniques. I also have experience with herding breeds and energetic dogs who need both structure and kindness. I’m a professional photographer and work primarily from home, which allows me to be flexible and reliable with scheduling. Whether it’s a structured walk, a calm drop-in, or time spent keeping your pet company, I treat every animal with patience, attentiveness, and care.

I have a fairly large, fully fenced yard and a calm home environment. On occasion, there may be another friendly dog present. I also have a spare room available if any dog needs space or separation.

Finding the right person to care for your dogs is never easy, especially when you have two energetic six-month-old puppies. Deborah exceeded every expectation. Her energy matched theirs perfectly, and it was clear from the start that she is not only a wonderful caregiver but also highly experienced with young dogs. What impressed us most was her commitment to maintaining the training and routines we had been working so hard to establish. That consistency was incredibly important to us, and it gave us complete confidence that our puppies were in excellent hands. Deborah was also exceptionally flexible and accommodating as our travel plans unexpectedly changed throughout the week. Her willingness to adjust her schedule without hesitation made an already stressful situation so much easier. We returned home to two happy, well-cared-for puppies, and we are genuinely grateful for the care, professionalism, and peace of mind Deborah provided. We would recommend her without hesitation and look forward to having her care for our dogs again.

I work mainly from home and have a flexible schedule, so I’m able to be present, attentive, and responsive to the pets in my care throughout the day.
