I’ve lived in several states throughout my life, and no matter where I’ve gone, I always end up being the person neighbors trust with their pets. Caring for animals has been the steady thread running through everything I’ve done—whether I was comforting someone’s anxious senior dog, looking after shy rescue cats, or even domesticating and safely relocating a feral colony so they could live on a peaceful farm. My professional background is in federal work, mainly in procurement and systems analysis. I put myself through college and earned degrees in Environmental Science and Geography, and later pursued doctoral-level work. Through all of that, I always had a companion pet by my side. Animals were my constant during stressful commutes, deadlines, and the unpredictable grind of life. I’m currently taking a sabbatical from federal work, which means I’m home all day and night, fully available for the pets in my care. I don’t travel—especially not during the holidays—so your pet gets a calm, consistent environment with uninterrupted attention. I know how overwhelming it can be when you’re juggling work, trains, traffic, or tight schedules. That’s why I also offer pick-up and drop-off for vet appointments. If you’re running late, can’t get away from work, or simply don’t need one more stressor in your day, I’m happy to handle it for you. I share my home with two very mellow cats, so I only accept pets who are comfortable around cats, won’t chase them, and are respectful in shared spaces. Small, calm dogs who are cat-friendly are welcome, along with confident, well-socialized cats.
