Peace of mind while you're away
I am Mama to my own fur baby rescues, Loki and Bucky (yes, we’re Marvel fans!) 😆 A dog just makes it feel like home and I couldn’t imagine my life without them. While I didn't grow up having dogs, I have always loved them and learned quickly how to care for them. My first dog was when I met my husband 24 years ago -- Brutus, a red and white cocker spaniel. Brutus taught me the true meaning of unconditional love and the heartbreak of losing them. I have cared for a wide range of dogs and cats with special needs. From the occasional pain pill to even administering insulin shots, I've done it all. I have also dealt with dogs that are unsure and afraid of me at first. I slowly gained their trust and they are now one my BFFs (Best Furry Friends!) My 20+ years experience loving and caring for dogs has taught me a lot. In fact, if I have a fault, it's that I get too attached to my furry friends. During your time away, I will send you text and photo message updates, so you can see your fur-babies and how they are doing. I always have my cell phone with me, so I am always available. During our meet and greet, we can go over the specifics of your dog or cat's care instructions. I do my very best to be the surrogate "Mom" or "Dad" while you are away by keeping their routine as normal as possible. Thank you for considering me to care for your furry family members while you are away. I promise to love and care for them like they were my own.

Safety, trust & environment
I am a guest in your home and I behave as such. My goal is to leave your home as clean, if not cleaner, than when I arrived. I don’t want you to know I was even there — although the numerous pictures I send will show otherwise! 😂 I will do my absolute best to follow the care instructions you provide and that we go over during the initial meeting and greet. For repeat clients, if it’s been awhile since I’ve cared for their furry family members, I’ll ask if there are any changes. If there’s a big change in the care instructions, I might schedule a follow up meet and greet. Sometimes it’s just easier to go over big changes, such as a new illness or new home, in person. Another safety step I always take is to have your actual cell phone number and a back up contact available. This just ensures that should an emergency arises, I have a way to get in contact with you. It’s better to be over prepared for emergencies than under prepared!
Ratings and reviews
We had never left our pets before they had always traveled with us but we were not able to take them this trip. I read Debi’s reviews on Rover and knew she was the one. She stayed at our home and was awesome! She did a meet and greet before hand, then came back right before for instructions. She took care of our 2 dogs and 5 cats. I will definitely use her for future needs! Thank you Debi for taking such good care of our pets!

Debi loves our Max. She does a great job caring for him and always plays his favorite games

Although it seems things went fine while Debi was here, she was frequently gone doing other Rover drop ins when we booked her for house sitting. I absolutely don’t mind a sitter leaving to see their family, or run short errands, but at the end of the day, we chose house sitting vs drop ins for a reason. When gone for over 6 hours during the day, that is no different than us having a drop in service. Debi was friendly and personable, but we will not choose to hire her again because we didn’t feel that she prioritized caring for our animals. She prioritized other clients drop in services which is unacceptable. I do appreciate the nightly updates and photos, I would have just preferred she be at the house with the dogs more regularly.

Debi was wonderful, very pleased. She kept in touch daily with photos. I have 2 Australian Shepherds, one is extremely high energy. Debi kept them active and entertained with balls in the back yard. I had her do overnight stays, cannot tell she had even been in the house, except for the cleanliness of no pile up of dog hair. Highly recommend and will definitely reach out to her again the next time I vacation.
Debi did a great job of feeding my kitties while I was out of town!

Life saver to have her help while I had my daughters dog.. Dependable... and even cleaned up ehen my pup had an accident!.

Schedule
Caring for others’ fur babies has been my full time occupation for the past 6 years. I am a Mom (2 human boys and 3 fur boys/dogs) and Wife, so I do try to maintain a balance, which has worked out wonderfully so far! I keep a calendar of all activities, personal and professional, so I will do my best to make sure your babies are cared for while still maintaining my personal life. If I will be gone longer than the agreed upon time frame, I will communicate that with you.
- Cats0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsDebi can host up to 4 drop-ins per day
- Some questions I might ask are: Do they like to play ball? Where do they sleep? What do they normally eat and how much? Are treats okay? Do they have a favorite toy? Are they afraid of anything? If yes, how do they react and how can I best comfort them? At our Meet & Greet, we can discuss the individual needs for your furry family members. I do my best to be your pet’s surrogate "Mom" while you are away -- doing everything you would do if you were at home. But please be aware that I am not you. Your pet might act differently with me than with you, but I would let you know about anything concerning that comes up during my stay or visit.
