I am available on weekends anytime and on weekdays before 8am or after 5 pm. I work from home a couple days a week so I could do a drop in during the day if needed.

Since I offer visits to your home, I tailor each visit to your pet’s individual needs and comfort level. For cats, if your pet is social and enjoys playtime or companionship, I’m happy to spend quality time engaging and interacting with them. If they are more reserved or prefer their space, I will focus on essentials like feeding, refreshing water, and keeping the litter box clean. I am happy to help with small household tasks while you are away, such as bringing in mail or watering plants. For dogs, I will provide a walk around the neighborhood tailored to your needs. One of my dogs likes to guide the route on our walks, the other will follow me wherever and wants variety. On our meet & greet, you can tell me what you prefer for your dog.

Does your pet have any special routines to follow or quirky habits to be aware of? I would also like a tour of the spaces you would like me to visit, to show me where the food, litter boxes, and other supplies might be. And I also need to know your pet's energy level and reaction to strangers in the house.
A typical day
I follow the pet or pet owner's lead. You know your pet the best, so please let me know what you think they will need in your absence. Some dogs need a lot more exercise, while others are looking more for companionship or playtime. Some cats are shy and others are social. My job is to care for your pets' wellbeing.

Everyone calls me by a nickname, DeAnn. Although I’m new to Rover, I’ve spent a lifetime caring for both cats and dogs. In my own home, I have two dogs. We just lost two senior cats after having them for 15+ years, so I especially miss having cats around. I’m very familiar with balancing different needs, routines, and temperaments. I also believe that keeping pets in their own environment helps maintain what they are used to and reduces stress. Along with personal experience and pet sitting, I’ve worked with pet rescue organizations in a pet store setting, caring for animals with a wide range of temperaments and needs. I’m comfortable following detailed instructions and always aim to make pets feel safe and well loved in your absence.

Deeann showed up promptly for our initial meet-and-greet, showed a great deal of respect for our home and cats, asked excellent and on-point questions and took notes for the care of our cats. She communicated promptly, and is very nice. She showed up right on time for our first scheduled visit, only to discover I had left the wrong key! She worked wit me to try to find a solution but none was forthcoming. Unfortunately I had to cut my trip short and return. I have every confidence she would would have been great and would recommend her; and, when I need a sitter in the future, I'll reach out to her first.
DEBBIE was great. Very fair price. She kept in touch and if there were any issues, she made sure she involved me while I was out of town. I would definitely use her again when the occasion occurs. Thank you!
Absolutely wonderful. Debbie was available super last minute and took such good care of our two cats. They aren’t easy customers but seemed to really enjoy spending time with her. It was a relief to know they were in her care and I felt like I could relax while I was away. Will definitely be asking Debbie back next time we go away!
Debbie absolutely loves and dotes on her animals. She treats every pet like they’re her own and really pays attention to the little things that help them feel comfortable and cared for. She’s so trustworthy, responsible, and just a true animal person through and through. Any pet would be lucky to spend time with her, and any family will feel completely at ease knowing she’s caring for their furry family member. I can’t recommend her enough!
