Everyone calls me by a nickname, DeAnn. Although I’m new to Rover, I’ve spent a lifetime caring for both cats and dogs. In my own home, I have two dogs. We just adopted two sweet kittens in June 2026, after losing two senior cats we had for 14+ years. I’m very familiar with balancing different needs, routines, and temperaments. I also believe that keeping pets in their own environment helps maintain what they are used to and reduces stress. Along with personal experience and pet sitting, I’ve worked with pet rescue organizations in a pet store setting, caring for animals with a wide range of temperaments and needs. I’m comfortable following detailed instructions and always aim to make pets feel safe and well loved in your absence.

Since I offer visits to your home, I tailor each visit to your pet’s individual needs and comfort level. For cats, if your pet is social and enjoys playtime or companionship, I’m happy to spend quality time engaging and interacting with them. If they are more reserved or prefer their space, I will focus on essentials like feeding, refreshing water, and keeping the litter box clean. I am happy to help with small household tasks while you are away, such as bringing in mail or watering plants. For dogs, I will provide a walk around the neighborhood tailored to your needs. One of my dogs likes to guide the route on our walks, the other will follow me wherever and wants variety. On our meet & greet, you can tell me what you prefer for your dog.

Deeann showed up promptly for our initial meet-and-greet, showed a great deal of respect for our home and cats, asked excellent and on-point questions and took notes for the care of our cats. She communicated promptly, and is very nice. She showed up right on time for our first scheduled visit, only to discover I had left the wrong key! She worked wit me to try to find a solution but none was forthcoming. Unfortunately I had to cut my trip short and return. I have every confidence she would would have been great and would recommend her; and, when I need a sitter in the future, I'll reach out to her first.
DEBBIE was great. Very fair price. She kept in touch and if there were any issues, she made sure she involved me while I was out of town. I would definitely use her again when the occasion occurs. Thank you!
Absolutely wonderful. Debbie was available super last minute and took such good care of our two cats. They aren’t easy customers but seemed to really enjoy spending time with her. It was a relief to know they were in her care and I felt like I could relax while I was away. Will definitely be asking Debbie back next time we go away!
Debbie absolutely loves and dotes on her animals. She treats every pet like they’re her own and really pays attention to the little things that help them feel comfortable and cared for. She’s so trustworthy, responsible, and just a true animal person through and through. Any pet would be lucky to spend time with her, and any family will feel completely at ease knowing she’s caring for their furry family member. I can’t recommend her enough!
I have known Debbie (goes by DeAnn) for about 5 years now. We talk daily, so I know how fantastic she is as a pet owner. DeAnn has a passion for all animals, and she treats her pets as individuals with unique needs and personalities. DeAnn and her husband travel with their pets whenever possible which shows just how much she loves them and prioritizes their needs. I would trust DeAnn in my home and around my animals as she is a very conscientious, compassionate friend. You can't go wrong trusting DeAnn with your pets- she is THE BEST!

Schedule
I work from home a few days a week so I can do a drop-in or walk during the day if needed. I am available on weekends anytime. If I have to go into the office on weekdays, I can be available before 8am or after 5 pm. We can discuss this more in detail at our meet & greet.
