Kind, caring, sensitive, dog loving couple
Both myself and my husband love animals and dogs in particular. My husband has cared for horses, dogs (Doberman,Lurcher,Spaniel,Labrador and terriers) and cats in the past and for the last 8 years we have been enjoying our wonderful friendly, sociable, Cockapoo Dougal, who is just a delight. He is well balanced ,happy and accepting of other dogs, albeit a little excitable at first. We enjoy walking him daily and enjoy the companionship of another dog being with us. We see this as an integral part of your dogs stay with us, being mindful of course of your preferences and guidance around how best to manage your pet during the walk. We would hope to meet you and your dog prior to their stay and would be happy to receive detailed guidance and instructions around their routine and day to day care. We want your dog to be happy and the same for you too. We are happy to have regular reassuring contact with you whilst you are away. We know what its like to miss Dougal when we are on holiday and a photograph or a text/call can make all the difference. We are both at home all day and have good availability. Our time will be dedicated to making your pet happy and comfortable during their stay. Hopefully they may become a regular visitor. At times we may have another dog boarding for all or part of your pets stay but we would consider the match carefully to ensure that all dogs (including our boy Dougal) are safe and happy at all times .

I can thoroughly recommend Debbie and Shane – they did a fantastic job of looking after our dog Leo while we attended our son’s graduation. From the very start, I felt reassured by Debbie’s prompt communication and the warm welcome when we went for an initial visit. Leo was well looked after and the updates and photos throughout his stay offered peace of mind. A great experience and I won’t hesitate to book again.
Our two spaniels had a fantastic time with Debbie, Shane and Dougal. Debbie and Shane are excellent dog sitters, they were attentive to our dogs needs, kind and caring and kept us fully informed about how our dogs were when in their care with numerous messages, photographs and a video. We highly recommend them and we would happily use them again to look after our dogs in the future.
I can fully reccomend Debbie and Shane! They are reliable dog sitters, and also lovely people too. Debbie kept me fully updated with pictures and made my dog feel right at home. They are adaptable to the dog's needs and are very kind and caring. Their own dog is also wonderful.
Honestly I cannot recommend Debbie and Shane enough - they are wonderful couple - very caring and loving with our boys. It was like home from home. They were loved and cared for and we were so happy to have found them. Lots of communication and photos ... really strongly recommend. Thank you so much :) x

Absolutely top class. We received daily (or more) updates and numerous photos whilst we were away and Debbie and Shane clearly love dogs. It's great that their own dog is so chilled and friendly and Timmy really got on well with him. We would thoroughly recommend and will definitely be looking to leave Timmy again.

Schedule
My husband works from home and I have recently taken early retirement so we can both be available as and when needed weekdays or weekends. We are an energetic couple who enjoy walking and playing with our dog and would offer the same care and attention to your dog whilst we are looking after them

Safety, trust & environment
We have a secure 6ft fenced back garden with a secure high 6ft gate to the front. Having a dog ourselves we are very mindful of safety. We have a front door which opens to a large parking area before meeting the road area. The front door is separated by a hallway door which would always be closed before opening the front door for additional security. Your dog would be on lead before leaving the house. We have a large hatchback car so can transport your dog safely as needed. Our dog is not crated but we can accommodate a crate if this is what your dog is used to. We are happy for your dog to sleep where he is most comfortable.
Pets
A typical day
We will go for walks in the park and in different locations such as the coast if you are happy with this. We will play with toys in the house and garden. Your dog will be encouraged to bring his own special toys and blanket to make them feel more secure
