A typical day

As a dog sitter, my primary responsibility is to maintain the dog's established routine to reduce their anxiety and ensure their health and happiness while their owners are away. I will always follow the pet parent's specific instructions, which should be provided in a detailed care plan or checklist. Essential Daily Care for Dogs- Feeding and Fresh Water. Exercise and Potty Breaks. Multiple potty breaks throughout the day. Daily walks (length and frequency as specified by the owner). Supervised playtime in a secure area to burn energy and provide mental stimulation. Adjust exercise as needed based on weather conditions (e.g., avoiding walks during the hottest part of the day). Medication and Health: Administer any required medications precisely as instructed by the owner and vet. In an emergency, contact the owner or the provided emergency vet number immediately. Companionship and Mental Stimulation. Dogs are social animals and need interaction. Spend quality time with the dog, offering affection, cuddles, or gentle play. They have a comfortable, quiet place to rest undisturbed.. Pick up and properly dispose of dog waste during walks. Wash their food and water bowls frequently. Safety and Environment. Ensure the dog's environment is pet-proofed and secure, with potential hazards removed. Keep gates/doors locked and the house secure. Use a leash at all times when outside a securely fenced area. Have emergency contact information readily available, including the owner's details, a local emergency contact, and the vet's information. Communication Provide Updates: Send updates, including photos, to the pet parents to give them peace of mind and let them know how their dog is doing.

Pet care experience

I have been a dedicated pet owner my entire life, which he sadly recently passed away, and have a deep love and understanding of animals. My personal experience includes caring for my own beloved dog for 15 years, during which I was responsible for all aspects of his well-being, including daily walks, feeding schedules, medication administration, and regular veterinary visits. This long-term commitment has provided me with practical, hands-on experience in managing a dog's routine and adapting care as they age. I am comfortable with dogs, for I had a Staffie and can provide compassionate, reliable, and attentive care tailored to your pet’s specific needs with lovely walks surrounded my place. Your pet will be well looked after and loved.

Highly recommend!! Debbie previously owned a staffie who lived the best life. Very experienced, confident and a genuine understanding of dogs and their needs. Lives in a quiet village with country walks and close to the coast. Great for doggy adventures! Provides a calm and safe environment for all dogs. Would have complete peace of mind leaving my dog in their care.
