Ruff Life Adventures for all pets!
Long before petsitting became a commoditized business, Debbie Ozarko was on the Ottawa scene bringing joy to the lives of dogs and their people with her dog walking service, "We Take the Dogs Out" in 2000. This eventually morphed into, "It’s a Ruff Life Doggie Daycare" which thrived until her move to the British Columbia coast in 2013. Her love for such beautiful intimacy with animals has only deepened over time, and with her return to the Ottawa area she is eager to offer her exceptional services once again. Debbie is also a long-time volunteer with the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and the IFAW Northern Dogs Project. Animals truly are her life. Debbie brings it back to what is most meaningful for all: respect, integrity and generosity of spirit—for you, and for your furry, fuzzy and feathered animal companions.

Safety, trust & environment
I have access to several quiet areas where field, forest and streams abound for off-leash romps. If dogs are better with on-leash walks, I'm happy to take them to green spaces where they have access to lots of sniffing to satiate that deep primal canine need. I also provide healthy, grain-free treats...just because. Of course, I offer only these with your approval beforehand.

Couldn’t ask for anything better! Deb took care of my dog like he was her own. He had an awesome week playing with her friendly dogs and cats on her beautiful property- truly a doggy heaven! Moose returned home tired and ready for cuddles! Having someone like Deb to care for Moose gave me peace of mind while I was on vacation; I was truly able to relax knowing that Moose was in good hands. Thank you so much! Moose can’t wait to come back!!!
I couldn't ask for a better place to leave my dogs. The facility is super clean and has a wonderful feeling when you drop your animals off know that the care will be outstanding. All in a beautiful country setting. My pups come home super tired and happy. They go "nutso" in the car as we approach and are always super excited to go there. BEST place to leave the critters!!!!
Gunner, my amazing Black Lab, had the most wonderful adventures with Deb's dog walking and in-home boarding services. Deb made certain that every dog was well behaved and sociable before being accepted as a client, which gave me terrific peace of mind knowing that Gunner would be with wonderful dog pals. Gunner was always thrilled to see Deb at the door! The adventures were grand – long walks, off leash, through her beautiful property, and in the warmer months, swims in lakes and rivers. Gunner always came home happy and well exercised. Gunner was a special needs dog – he had several health challenges, including seizures, which can occurred despite taking medication for this condition. Deb was well aware of what was required in the event of an episode, and I had full confidence that everything would be done for him, as required. Gunner even spent a few extended holidays with Deb at her home, enjoying her hospitality and the company of her other dogs and cats! I can assure you that your dogs will be loved and well cared for with Deb. While Gunner has since passed away, I'm sure he would enthusiastically agree.
Deb's love and caring way of being helped create the wonderfully sweet dog that we are now blessed with. Phoebe has always been a high energy dog who tended to be a little more aloof. After being in Deb's care with her dog walking and in-home boarding services, Phoebe is not only calmer, she's become a really affectionate little dog. I'm so grateful to be able to cuddle Phoebe now! Many thanks to Deb for giving Phoebe what she needs to truly blossom in her life.
Deb is an amazing caregiver to your most loved companions. She did group walks for my boys for years and has looked after them while I go away. When she is there I never have to worry because I know my dogs are being looked after and spoiled like they were her own. If you want to know you furry family is getting walked, run, treated and spoiled when you can't give Deb a try - you won't regret it.

Schedule
Animals are my life! It doesn't matter if they are residents are not, they are all treated with love, kindness, respect, and compassion. My schedule is constructed around their needs first.
