Hi, I’m Deanna! I’m a Certified Veterinary Assistant with 20 years of experience caring for animals of all species, including several years working hands-on with dogs and cats in veterinary clinics and boarding facilities. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom, and I’m excited to have my stepdaughter, Anya, join me in caring for our Rover pets. She absolutely loves animals and is looking to earn some extra money while doing something she genuinely enjoys. She’ll be the primary person providing walks, drop-ins, and pet care, with me available as an experienced helping hand whenever needed. Between my veterinary background and her love for animals, we make a great team! I’ve worked directly with veterinarians as a veterinary technician, including taking vitals, administering medications and vaccines, assisting with procedures, and caring for pets before and after surgery. I also have extensive experience recognizing when a pet may need extra attention or when something just doesn’t seem quite right. Before moving to Pennsylvania, I cared for numerous Rover clients for more than three years while living in Tucson, Arizona. We moved to Pennsylvania in May 2020 for my husband’s work, and after taking some time away from Rover, we’re excited to welcome new furry friends into our lives again! We have two dogs and 3 cats of our own, so your pet will be joining a home that is very much used to having animals around. We have plenty of pet-friendly toys, beds, and space to relax, and we love spending time outside when the weather is nice. Most importantly, we treat every pet like they’re part of the family. Whether your pup needs a walk, playtime, cuddles, medication, or simply some company while you’re away, we want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. We’d be honored to care for your pets and give you peace of mind while you’re away! 🐾❤️

Deanna and her family are lovely!! Our dogs adored them and especially their children, and Deanna was responsive, in touch, and top of everything throughout their stay. Was wonderful to have a no stress getaway knowing they were in excellent and very capable hands!

Schedule
I currently am a stay-at-home mom so my schedule is extremely flexible with the exception of student drop-off and pick-up times (7:00-8:10am and 2:50-4:05pm). This gives me the rest of the time/day to care for your pet.

Safety, trust & environment
During daycare and/or boarding, I have plenty of pet toys and beds throughout the house. For additional safety, I use baby gates whenever they are left unattended from my own pets just as a safety precaution. All playtime is always supervised.
Pets
A typical day
We have very long leads at our home so your pet can feel free while playing outside (fetch, tug-of-war, etc) and we like to go on walks. On rainy or snowy days, we have plenty of toys in our home to keep the animals occupied as well as my energetic daughters. We also have some quiet space available in our home in case your pet doesn't want to play too much :)
