Pet care is part of our family’s normal routine while we have visitors staying with us. We want pets to feel like they are staying in a home, not spending their vacation in a boarding facility. We intentionally prefer longer stays rather than occasional single overnights. Our rates are kept affordable because our ideal clients are families traveling for extended periods who want somewhere safe and familiar for their pets without pet care making the vacation itself unaffordable. We take the same approach to drop-in care and prefer longer-term, recurring or extended-trip needs.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety starts before a new client ever enters our home. Every new family first meets us in a public location for a meet-and-greet. We do not invite prospective clients into our home before meeting them. We love our home, and opening it to someone new is a big decision for our family. The meet-and-greet goes both ways. You are deciding whether you trust us with your pet, and we are deciding whether we are comfortable welcoming you and your pet into our home. We ask questions, pay attention and trust our judgment. If something does not feel right, we will decline the booking. Once we accept a family, we take that relationship seriously. We believe our reviews reflect how much we care about the pets and people we welcome into our lives. Every boarding dog must also have a safe resting space. Crate-trained dogs need to bring their crate. Dogs who are not accustomed to a traditional crate may be able to use an open playpen-style setup instead. This does not mean dogs spend their stay confined. It gives them a secure place to sleep, decompress, eat or be safely separated when needed.

Information Deana T. would like to know about your pet
Honesty is extremely important to us. Please tell us about your pet’s temperament, routines, medications, medical needs, dietary restrictions, fears, triggers, separation anxiety, crate experience, interactions with other animals and any history of biting, aggression, escaping or other behavioral concerns. Please do not minimize something because you are worried it could affect whether we accept the booking. Knowing the full picture allows us to determine whether our home is the right environment for your pet and whether we can safely meet their needs. We are selective about the pets and families we accept. You are trusting us with someone you love, but we are also trusting you when we welcome you into our family’s home. That trust has to work both ways. If something does not feel like the right fit during our screening process, we will say no. We would rather decline a booking than ignore a concern involving our family, our home, your pet or another animal in our care.
A typical day
We have a large yard and believe dogs should have the opportunity to actually be dogs. That might mean running, playing, sniffing every corner of the yard, exploring, lounging outside or finding the perfect place to nap afterward. We balance outdoor time with common sense and each dog’s individual needs. Florida weather, temperature, age, health, breed and energy level all matter. A young energetic dog may want lots of playtime, while a senior dog may prefer a short wander around the yard followed by a quiet afternoon inside. There is no one-size-fits-all schedule here. We want their stay to feel comfortable, natural and as close to home as possible.

Pet care experience
We’ve provided in-home pet care through Rover since 2017, but caring for animals has been part of my life for much longer than that. I grew up on a ranch where pets and farm animals were part of everyday life, so feeding, cleaning, watching for changes in behavior, and making sure animals were safe and cared for was simply part of our routine. That experience shaped how we care for pets today. We understand that every animal has its own personality, comfort level, habits, and needs. Our goal is to make pets feel safe and at home while their families are away, with the kind of attentive, dependable care we would want for our own animals.

Reviews

Deana is great!!! I have utilized her services 3 times already!! She is sweet and very patient with my Chan.

Deana and her family were absolutely wonderful with our Phoebe girl. She made me feel comfortable and welcome from the moment we made contact. When we dropped Phoebe off we knew she was in good hands. They allowes us to bring her bed and crate for her to be safe and comfortable while at thier home. Our girl was was able to run and play in a fenced yard with thier pups and she was in heaven. We received lots of cute photos and updates on how she was doing. Phoebe was a clean and happy girl when we picked up. I know we will love to have them care for our pup again in the future. Thank you so much for everything!
First time ever using there service and was super impressed.Wasn’t sure if my dog wanted to leave them. They worked with me to make this a great experience.

Layla was in great hands while staying with Deana! The yard is super big and there was so much space for Layla to enjoy running and playing! The communication was great! We will definitely use Deana again and refer her to friends and family!
