Pet care experience
We’ll have a furtastic time!
Hey is for horses! My name is Dayna, I'm 30, and I would love to take care of your pet(s)! I have 20+ years experience caring, nurturing and befriending household pets varying from dogs, cats, pet rats, guinea pigs, bunny rabbits, fish, and the friendly chipmunks in the neighbourhood! I am no stranger to animals! I consider myself a very active person. I enjoy spending hours walking around in the fresh air, especially with the mountain view! I have one super energetic pup, so I understand the importance of daily exercise and enrichment! Along with having great patience, the care I can provide for your furry family member will be the same as if it were my own. Whether it's cuddles, belly rubs, park walks, swimming, giving medication, baths, furry friend catch up- I'm keen for it all!

Ratings and reviews
Another very successful day of boarding for our pup with Dayna. It is easy to tell from photos that our guy just adores both Dayna and her own dog, Tokyo. Cannot fault what Dayna does.

Dayna has amazing! She made the whole process super easy and reassured me during the overnight with update pics. Would definitely use her again :)

Another great overnight stay with Dayna. Our little guy came home exhausted (in a good way!!). Already booked for the next stay.

Dayna is fabulous. Our 4 year old stayed with her overnight and she was very easy to deal with. We like the fact she has her own dog who seems very chilled and whom our guy could have some playtime with. She sent us photos where we could see our guy was having a good time with them. We had a last minute change of plans for pick up and Dayna kindly helped us out. Will use again very soon!

Dayna was fantastic. Communicated well, sent pictures, and Leon was a tired and happy dog when we came to pick him up!

Our 2 small dogs really responded to Dayna’s kindness and compassion. We were able to relax at the Canmore Highland Games knowing they were in capable hands.

Calendar and availability
Schedule
Right now I’m focusing on making Rover my full time job, so my schedule is very open and flexible! I spend a lot of time out on the trails with my own dog, Tokyo, and I’d love to include your pup in our daily adventures.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
My pup is truly the princess of the home, and her safety and happiness are my top priority, just as I would ensure for your pet. She’s extremely well trained (for example, she won’t touch food that’s dropped unless given permission, waits for a cue before crossing the road or eating, and she absolutely loves her crate, which she uses freely). I believe in consistency and structure, so I’m more than happy to follow any routines, commands, or rules you’ve set for your dog to make sure they feel comfortable and secure. For safety, I kindly ask that all dogs staying with me are up to date on their vaccinations, as I won’t put my pup at risk. I always keep my home very clean and free of hazards, with plenty of cozy resting spots and safe play spaces. On walks and outdoor adventures, I always use secure leashes and or harnesses, and I’m attentive to each dog’s comfort level and energy needs. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and structured environment where your dog feels right at home, while you can feel completely at ease knowing they’re in caring and responsible hands!

A typical day
I believe daily stimulation is so important for dogs of all ages! I like to mix things up with tug of war, puzzle toys, and Kongs to keep their minds busy and engaged, along with simple training, fetch and more. I also love heading to the park, where they can run, sniff, and explore. With my own pup, on trails I often use a 10ft leash, as it gives her plenty of freedom to roam while still keeping her safe and close in case of wildlife or other dogs, but will let her off leash in designated areas as she stays close and has great recall. My overall goal when caring for your pet(s) is to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy, and of course, that they head home tired and content after a fun day!
