As a recently retired teacher, I bring a life time of patience, reliability and genuine care to all that I do including taking care of your pet. After years of nurturing and supporting students, I now dedicate my time to providing attentive, loving care to animals in my community. For most of my adult life, I have owned my own dogs and cats. Currently I have one small dog and an elderly cat. I have hands-on experience taking care of my own dog with diabetes. This included administering insulin, monitoring diet and being attentive to any changes in behavior that could indicate blood sugar problems. Because of my previous work schedule, I have been boarding a few dogs on a fairly regular basis during summer months and holidays. I truly enjoy the connection I feel to dogs when spending time with them. I love playing with them, whether tossing a ball, going for a walk, or simply getting to know their personality. Dogs have a wonderful way of bringing happiness and joy into every day life. Caring for dogs is rewarding to me because of the companionship and unconditional affection they naturally share. I always say "dogs know their people."
