I live and work on a farm and my own dogs do most activities (that don't involve a tractor) with me. Dogs are a part of my daily life, whether I'm are checking the property lines, working on improving the hiking paths in the woods, or gardening. I keep a predictable schedule so doggos and humans alike know what's in store for the day. Since I work on property, I am home almost all the time.

I care for dogs in my home by treating them like I treat my own dogs. For crate-trained dogs who love their crate, I set up their crate for them. If they are used to sleeping in their human's room, I can set their pet bed up in my room. I have designated chill and play spots with lots of windows and bird watching opportunities in an air-conditioned dog-friendly room. I am mindful of the heat during summer, and will not let dogs out unattended during the day, or off leash outside of fenced areas unless they truly pass the vibe check (that ends up being a no for many dogs). Safety is a priority. Comfort is a priority. My goal is to make sure your dog has enough mental stimulation, physical activity, and love so their separation from you is as painless as possible.

Information Dawn T. would like to know about your pet
If you dog has special needs or preferences, please let me know early so we can accommodate them. I don't mind shy dogs, dogs with *lots* of energy, or dogs that need a little training work. Aggressive dogs are not a good fit.
A typical day
We walk in the woods. My dogs and the dogs I care for do at least 2 wooded walks per day. Lots of time exploring paths, sniffing for deer and squirrels, and wading in the creek. I also provide 3/4 of an acre of fenced free play space, so when I'm out working in the garden or with the fruit trees, your dog will likely be out with me in the fenced-in area.

Reviews

Dawn and Tony took great care of my boys. They gave them lots of love and outdoor time. The boys were worn out when they got home. I would recommend them!
I boarded my dog with Dawn, and have nothing but great things to say. Cleo had the best time on the farm, and was in fantastic hands during her stay. Dawn provided regular updates and photos, which really put my mind at ease. I highly recommend Dawn to anyone looking for a dog sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of Cleo while I was away!!
We have used Dawn as our pet caregiver for several years. We think of our pets as our children, and so we have always placed importance on who we choose to care for them. Dawn is a caring individual and our dog and two cats sense that. We feel very comfortable leaving them in her care.
Dawn was our amazing neighbor for years. We trusted her on countless occasions to watch our dogs and cats. She understands that your pets are your children. I would often consult her on health concerns as well. Dawn is a reliable and experienced animal lover and a parent herself. There is no one I could trust more
