Cat mom on call!
I've rescued animals for decades, since I was 22. That includes cats, dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, and even my very first pet, a mouse. Several of my companions were with me for 14 to 16 years. I once ran a small rescue rehabilitating and fostering guinea pigs, including some with special needs, and found them their forever homes. I've also cared for pets with special needs of their own. One of my cats was blind, deaf, and had seizures. It never slowed her down, and I loved helping her navigate her world with confidence. She was a dilute Calico and just the most adorable soul. Right now I share my home with Phantom, a Tuxedo cat whose face is half black and half white, just like the Phantom of the Opera, hence the creative name! Her rescue name was Chatty Kathy, and she earned it honestly, she's a total talker who even says "I love you Maw!" She's affectionate, curious, and follows me around like a puppy. Phantom is over 13 and a half now. I've also pet sat large breeds, including one 180-pound gentle giant who was still just a puppy! When I visit, your companion will have my full, undivided attention. I'll follow every care instruction you set. I'll also interact in exactly the way they enjoy, whether that's playtime and cuddles, or simply having food, water, and litter taken care of while they go about their day. You know your loved one best. Just tell me their routine, and I'll follow it closely. I also use a Rover Pet Sitter myself when my husband and I travel. Phantom adores her, and I truly believe this is one of the most incredible services available for pet parents. It's reassuring, and I always feel confident traveling knowing Phantom is in great care. Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets and homes, safety and consistency are always my top priorities. During our initial meeting, I go over the full routine and any special needs your 4-legged companion may have. I take detailed notes so I stay familiar with everything specific to them and to your home. I also ask that clients leave me all essential information, including your Veterinarian, an Emergency Veterinarian, Emergency Contacts in case I'm unable to reach you, and any other details you feel are relevant to your pet's care or your home. I follow your instructions closely, whether that's a specific feeding schedule, medication routine, or particular way you like your home cared for while you're away. I treat every home and pet exactly as I would my own, with the same level of attention, respect, and reliability. I stay alert to anything unusual, whether that's a pet acting differently than expected or something in the home that needs attention, and I always communicate promptly if anything comes up. Your home's security matters just as much as your pet's wellbeing, so I make sure doors are locked, mail or packages are handled as requested, and everything is exactly as you left it when you return.

I've met many cat lovers in my day, but Dawn takes the cake with her bug. There was NO scenario that she wasn't prepared for to make sure that Phantom would be safe and loved.
