Welcome to our happy home.
I have cared for pets- dogs, cats, horses, hens, rabbits since I was a child. I understand the special care requirements of older dogs and the mental stimulation needed by younger more active dogs. I currently have 2 oldie Goldies and a 2 year old mixed breed. In the past I have owned a samoyed, collie X, 2 rottweilers and a staffy so I am experienced with different breeds and understand they can have different needs, that's what makes them special.

Nellie absolutely loves Dawn and going to stay at her house with the other dogs. She has also made friends with another cocker spaniel that Dawn cares for and they’re just adorable together. It gives us such peace that when we need Nellie cover that she is being cared for, and very loved as if she was one of Dawn’s own. Thank you Dawn, we’re so happy we found you :)

Schedule
I usually walk my young dog and one of my goldies if he is feeling up to it, about 6.30 every morning. My older goldie prefers to stay in bed at that time, so she comes out for a walk later in the day. I work full time, but from home so I am here with my dogs in the day. If I need to go anywhere, I am usually out for about 3 hours at most.

My garden is securely fenced and I am here with them, during the day and night. We also enjoy twice daily walks to local parks etc. I am happy to keep your dog on a lead if recall is an issue.

A typical day
We are early risers in my household and go out about 6.30 in the morning for our first walk of the day. During the day, my dogs spend much of their time asleep (what a life eh!). I work from home, so I am always here with them. My younger dog ( and to some extent my oldies too) still like to play and we will play ball or doing some fun treat related activities for his mental stimulation.

- I have no preference.. My older girl can be shouty at younger dogs, but it is just her way of telling them to behave if they become excited around her, but I manage that and she will take herself away from the situation, she does love people too much.
