I grew up with dogs and a variety of pets, my entire life. I have owned and/or cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds ranging from a 185 pound Italian Mastiff, German Shepards, Dobermans, miniature schnauzers down to a 4 pound Maltese. I worked for a veterinarian hospital during my college years and fostered cats for 1.5 years. I’ve had the responsibility of the evening routine of caring for 6 horses and the farms guard dog. I routinely care for my family members’ dogs (Maltese and labradoodles) when they go out of town. I’m comfortable giving medications and have training as an EMT, so I handle emergency situations well should such a situation ever arise in your absence. I have cared for dogs that have had ACL surgeries, ear infections, allergies and pancreatitis. I have cared for cats, both my own and fosters, with medical conditions including urinary tract infections, hyperthyroidism, kidney disease and irritable bowel syndrome. I also cared for a deaf cat and can proudly say I taught her a few signs in American Sign Language. I do not believe in the physical disciplining of pets. I will respect all directions of the care of your pet in your absence to include dietary restrictions/needs to activity requirements. I promise to send you plenty of photos while you’re away to make sure you remain connected to your precious pup. My goal is to make sure you and your pet are as comfortable and secure with me as possible.

I will care for your fur baby and your home as instructed. I am open to having pets sleep with me. I will respect your home and your privacy/boundaries. I strive to keep your pets schedule and routine as close to normal as I can in your absence. * For the safety and comfort of all parties and pets, I require a meet and greet prior to my first scheduled booking.

Dawn is absolutely phenomenal and went above and beyond all expectations caring for our pets and home while we were away. I felt at ease knowing she was there and sending pictures with updates at each visit. Dawn is a total professional and I’d highly recommend her!
Dawn is the best! This was our second time using her and she took such amazing care of our dog George and two cats!! I will book her again and again!
Dawn is fantastic! She is certainly a pet person. My dog Paddington hates to me alone, and when I am going to be out of the house for an extended time I call on Dawn to drop in on him. She gives him love and attention. It has been a blessing having Dawn to help out when needed!
Dawn was absolutely perfect for our two for babies. She was so accommodating and flexible with our needs. She sent us tons of pictures so I knew they were being taken care of and loved in the way that we wanted them to be. they both need medication and she did exactly what they needed and then some. She stayed at our house overnight and made sure that our dogs and cats got fed and medicated as needed. She spent quality time with them and I could tell by the photos that they were happy doing what they normally do when we’re home. That was very comforting. he will absolutely use Dawn again she will be a valued new member of our family. Thank you Don for doing what you do. It’s truly apparent that you are an animal lover and you’re in the right profession. ❤️

Schedule
I currently work full time Monday through Friday. I work for a family owned business so I do have some daytime flexibility. I am usually available: morning/mid day (10-4) after work (5-7) late night (9pm-midnight) dog walks/drop in visits. Overnight rates include feeding dinner/after dinner outing, bedtime outing, morning outings and feeding breakfast. Midday outings for overnights visits more than 24 hours may increase overnight rates, by $5/day to offset midday commutes to/from your home.
