I am very flexible with my availability for my regular clients. New requests need to allow time to schedule a meet & greet. When I am with your pets, they get my full attention. When I am home, I hang out with my own dogs and cat. 🐾

I like to meet with clients ahead of scheduling the 1st drop-in appointment so the animals can get familiar with me and I can learn their normal routines. We will discuss details and finalize the booking after the meet & greet. This time is essential. It allows your pets to see me as a safe person when I come into the home.

I like to know each animal’s routine, temperament, likes and dislikes. Knowing what is “normal” helps make the visits easier for them. Also, any special requests such as medication or any additional information needed to give them the best care possible.

I like to spend time letting each dog and cat get used to me and also to having someone in their space. I provide time to play and also time to relax and decompress. I follow their lead and adjust as we go. I always make sure to give them some calm time before I leave so they are relaxed. This makes their time alone less stressful. I want each visit to include basic needs as well as letting out some energy and getting undivided attention. The more your pet enjoys our visits, the easier it is for you to leave them knowing they will be taken care of and spoiled. I take a LOT of photos to capture some of what we do and also to allow pet parents to see their pets are happy. I love pet photography so I try to capture snapshots as well as photos that can be framed should you choose to print them. I do have a website and Instagram where I share photos. (Photos never contain identifiable information) If you prefer that I do not share photos of your pets, please let me know.

I love what I do! I have turned my love for animals into a full time job. I have experience with all ages from rambunctious puppies to senior dogs. I also care for cats and kittens. Familiarity makes animals more comfortable. I give them time to get used to me and follow their cues as I earn their trust. I am certified in animal CPR and First Aid in hopes I never have to use it.

Dawn did an amazing job with my senior doggie. He doesn’t trust many people at all! By the end of their week together she had my Dudley eating out of her hand-literally! She updated me and sent several pictures documenting each visit. I was able to thoroughly enjoy my trip without worrying about Dudley.
Dawn is the best! She was very good with the girls and provided updates and photos. We used her for 5 days and we were not worried at all about the girls which made our vacation so much enjoyable. We will definitely be using her in the future.
Dawn did a really good job. She got along great with my dogs - one of which can be kind of quirky - right off the bat. She sent lots of good pics.
We love Dawn so much. She is endlessly reliable and responsive. We are so lucky to have her.
