Safety, trust & environment

We have a 6ft tall wooden fence in the backyard and a 4ft tall wooden fence in the front. In the backyard, we have chickens that free range. They are very used to Lacey and other dogs. Usually your dog will stay in the front but we do sometimes like to let your furbaby sniff and engage the birds (while on a leash.) We find that it's a good stimulator for some dogs, especially the herding breeds as well as make more well rounded, more friendly birds.

Information Davisha & Donald T. would like to know about your pet

I have NO breed preference and will accept any and all types! I love all dogs and as long as their overall demeanor is friendly I will work them. Main questions that I always ask is how much and how often do you feed per day? If they have any allergies? Do you allow them on furniture? What training are you working on right now that I can help reinforce?

A typical day

A typical day consists of: Wake up and eat breakfast, 1st walk in the orchard, rest/nap time, wake up and potty break in the front yard, playtime with the toys (depending on weather whether we are inside the house or not), potty break, rest/quiet time, 2nd walk/playtime, dinner meal, potty break, rest/quiet time, bedtime.

Exceptional Experience, Every Time

Pet care experience

I have experience working with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I have bottle fed, administered medication, groomed, and trained. I know doggy behavior and know how to give different care and attention to whatever suits each pup's needs. Whether your dog is the nervous type or the energetic type, I can actually guarantee that they will be comfortable, SAFE, and well taken care of here! I have a spayed female dog, named Lacey. Her temperament is calm, patient, and affectionate. Lacey is well socialized and gets excited to meet new people. She loves kids, especially if they are giving her pets and treats. Her signature trait is to grumble while being petted, I think it's her way of purring lol. Meatball is our new addition. We found him while walking the orchard, we believe someone dumped him there. At the moment he is intact so we are not allowing unspayed females. He is extremely goofy and loves other dogs and people. Donald and I both have experience with training and raising dogs. Feel free to ask us for tips as we are happy to share some knowledge we've learned over time. If they aren't potty trained that is okay, because we have tile flooring and we will help with teaching your pup to go outside! We also teach leash work and recall for each client that comes here! Sometimes we foster puppies from local animal shelters so we ask that your pet is up to date on shots before boarding. Our home is a loving home and we have A BUNCH of toys here for your pet. Squeaky toys, chew toys, balls, ropes, and even toys that really engages and stimulates them mentally! We also have plenty of running space for dogs to run around in the yard and if they are more of a couch potato that works too! There is a fenced almond orchard nearby where we take the dogs to walk everyday (sometimes twice a day depending on their energy level.) The walking path is 2 miles long! There is so much to sniff and any dog that comes back from that walk is garunteed to be worn out and sleepy! Be prepared for pre walk and post walk pictures! We also have an XL crate that is available for your dog to have their own space if desired. We leave the crate open during the day and close it at night. If they don't need it that's fine, they can sleep wherever they feel most comfortable. We do usually allow pets on the couch but if they aren't allowed to at home we try to enforce the same rules. For transparency: the price I set is $45 a night per dog. Rover takes 20% from me which means my take home is even less. The extra price increase you see is because of Rover and I have no control over it. So please consider that before asking for a lower price. If you read this far, thank you!

I had a great experience with Davisha and Donald. My dog Buddy got along really well in their house. It was nice to have two people looking out after him. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Davisha and Donald have looked after our rambunctious and sweet girl, Maya, several times now, and we couldn’t be happier with how they care for her! She is lively, and they create a wonderful environment for her to run around and play. Davisha and Donald are also genuinely lovely people overall. We’re excited for many more stays!

Davisha and Donald took such great care of my dog Randi. They sent me updates with lots of photos and videos of her playing with their dogs. Randi had a blast and we will definitely use them again.
