Shelter Animal Care Worker
I work in animal care at a local shelter, where I support dogs with all kinds of needs—medical, behavioral, or just in need of some extra love. I’ve also fostered dogs for over 7 years, including seniors, puppies, and those recovering from surgery or trauma. That experience taught me how to be patient, flexible, and attuned to each dog’s unique personality and pace. I always try to meet animals where they are, with care and respect.

I live in a calm, pet-friendly apartment with a large park just across the street—great for walks and outdoor time. I create a safe, low-stress environment by following each pet’s routine closely and respecting their boundaries. With my shelter background, I’m comfortable handling pets with different temperaments and needs, and I always prioritize safety, trust, and clear communication with both pets and their people.

Schedule
I work full-time in animal care five days a week, with Thursdays and Fridays off. My shifts rotate biweekly between early mornings and evenings, so I’m available for pet care on my days off and can often accommodate early mornings, evenings, or overnight care depending on the week.

The more I know about what makes your pet feel safe and happy, the better I can care for them as if they were my own.
