Availability
As a graduate student on my last year, my work is mainly remote—and I’ve intentionally structured my schedule to prioritize pet care. I’m available for care throughout the day, whether that means early-morning walks, mid-day play sessions, or overnight sitting. My flexibility allows me to tailor routines around your dog’s needs, whether they’re energetic and need lots of stimulation or prefer a slower, calmer pace. I spend much of my time outdoors, and I love incorporating dogs into that lifestyle—hiking scenic trails, visiting off-leash parks, or just taking long neighborhood walks. I believe dogs thrive when they experience new encounters, and I work those moments of enrichment into every week.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a spacious, first-floor apartment with direct access to a secure patio and a neighborhood dog park—just steps outside my door. This makes potty breaks, quick outdoor play/walks, and socialization seamless and stress-free. Every day, our neighborhood hosts friendly dog meetups with well-behaved pups, offering perfect opportunities for your dog to engage with others in a safe environment. Inside my home, dogs will find a clean, calm, and organized space with plenty of enrichment. I have a variety of toys, training tools, puzzles, and games to ensure your dog stays mentally and physically stimulated—the goal is for no boredom and anxiety. I also keep a full range of grooming and cleaning supplies on hand, so whether your dog needs a simple wipe-down or a post-adventure bath, I’ve got it covered. I am well-versed in training methods and behavior management, so if your pup has specific routines or commands, I likely already have the knowledge and equipment to maintain their structure. I’m happy to reinforce crate training, leash manners, or any custom instructions you provide to ensure consistency while you’re away. I also have a well-socialized golden retriever mix who’s incredibly calm, friendly, and trained to model great behavior for other dogs. If your dog enjoys companionship, mine makes an excellent playmate. If needed, I can crate or separate the dogs for one-on-one attention or downtime—your dog’s comfort and safety always come first.

Information David Z. would like to know about your pet
Please share any important details about their personality, daily routine, favorite activities/treats, medical needs, allergies, and preferred sleep or potty schedule. Whether they thrive on structure, have quirks I should be mindful of, or need special accommodations—I'm here to tailor their experience so they feel right at home. Feel free to let me know anything that helps your pup feel safe. We can absolutely set up a phone call or meet-and-greet beforehand so I can get to know your dog (and you!) better before our visit begins.
A typical day
Every day is tailored to your dog’s personality, energy level, and comfort. Whether it’s structured games like catch and fetch, task-based play like scent games or “find it” challenges, or social time at the neighborhood dog park, your pup will get to release energy in a safe and fulfilling way. Health is a top priority in my day-to-day care. I maintain grooming routines (deshedding, bathing, nail trimming, paw/teeth maintenance) and support wellness with gut/joint supplements and proper hygiene. I approach every dog as if they’re my own—working to give them the best life possible and ensuring they return with stronger behavior, great memories, and a great night sleep. I live next to a dog-friendly park where daily group meetups are the norm, so your dog can enjoy supervised socialization with playful pups. For those that enjoy one-on-one time, I offer hikes on local trails, training reinforcement, and mentally enriching games to help tire them out. I also love incorporating basic training refreshers into play, making learning fun and rewarding. Have a lower-energy or senior dog? I’m just as happy to provide slow, calming walks, gentle stretches, or time in the sun while they relax and enjoy companionship.

Engaging, Attentive Dog Companion
Pet care experience
With a strong sense for dog body language and behavior, I naturally bond with dogs and know how to keep them engaged, playful, and calm. Whether it’s a high-energy pup or a senior companion, I tailor their care to suit their needs and give them a fulfilling, well-balanced day. My schedule allows me to maintain consistent routines for feeding, training, sleep, and potty breaks. I offer a variety of experiences from city parks to nature hikes, giving dogs exposure to a diverse range of settings. I also provide basic training support including crate, leash/off-leash, recall, sport-based games like fetch and frisbee, and even task-based and obedience exercises—skills I’ve developed through 10+ years of experience with dogs from puppyhood to senior stages.
Reviews

Amazing sitter! Great communication, lots of updates, and my pup Molly was well cared for - will book again! Highly recommend!

David did an amazing job!
David is very helpful and flexible with our last minute booking. He also offered a meet and greet to ensure the dogs get along with each other. David provided photo and video updates to us. Definitely Dudu is having a lot of pleasure during the stay. Last but not the least, David and his gf are so sweet and took really good photos of Dudu and printed it out. This is a special gift and we really appreciate it!

David was so amazing with our dog! He sent lots of photos and even included a framed photo for us to bring home! Look forward to using him again.
