Safety, trust & environment
My home has a double lot sized yard that is fully fenced so dogs can romp and play safely. I supervise all outdoor playtimes from a comfortable and shaded pool-side patio. If I am house sitting for clients, I treat every home responsibly. I have several local references who can attest to the quality of care I provide in my home and/or theirs. Please reach out if I can answer any questions you may have.

Information David V. would like to know about your pet
I work well with all kinds of animals. I have a sweet and independent cat who always has access to her own room (to take a break from overly-curious dogs). For the time being, I am unable to host dogs that are aggressive towards felines in my home.
A typical day
Breakfast, belly rubs, yard time (always supervised), lazy time, treat and toys time, photo time, walk time, dinner time, Netflix and then bed (wherever your pet is accustomed to sleeping).
Location
Fort Lauderdale, FL
Pets
Dependable, loving, experienced.
Pet care experience
I am experienced Rover pet sitter and also have years caring for all kinds of pets before joining the Rover team (local references available). I only serve one client at a time and offer both boarding (in my home) and house sitting (in clients homes). I am retired and this work gives me joy and purpose after the passing of my beloved 19yr dog Paco. I am home most of the day, and can make your pet’s care and well being my priority. I have experience caring for many types of pets over the years, and a *huge* fenced yard for dogs to play in. Animals give us unconditional love and truly deserve our very best in return.
Cat care experience

David also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews
David is a superb pet sitter indeed! I am always hesitant to leave my senior dog with someone new, but David went above and beyond to care for our little guy. He gave daily updates with pictures and videos…as well as made suggestions from the knowledge he has with dogs and especially some older ones. I will definitely book with David next time we need a sitter. He’s a really sweet person and a loving care giver. Five stars across the board!

David was great and accommodating our senior dog. He was able to give all the love and care to her as she is a bit of a diva and requires a lot of TLC. She loved it at Davids house and would definitely be booking him for future stays!

David is reliable, kind & loving to our dog, Harley. David made our cruise better by sending text pictures & videos everyday to us. We could see how happy Harley was in his care. We were very satisfied with Harley’s stay at David’s place. David only sits one pet at a time, which was super important for us as Harley is a rescue & is intimidated by other dogs! Thank you so much Rover for having people like David to care of our pets!

Davis was wonderful with Elvis. He understood our dog’s personality and gave him the love he needed. Thank you so much.
