We work from home and have plenty of space indoors and out for a crew. Ideal candidate would be someone looking for regular daycare, belly rubs and a small group of dogs who get along, no more than 5 any given day. We have a 4 yr old Bernese who keeps to herself and loves company. Group walks are a given. Your dog: Under 50 lbs, chill, gets along with others humans and canines. Doesn't mark or bark too much from being nervous. Takes commands like sit and stay and loves rewards like treats and human love. We can help with a bit of training if needed. 9-5 is preferred and overnights are cool as long as you and your dog are too. Super active high energy dogs who need to walk and swim would not do well here - just so we're clear. Yes, we have a pool, but it's not encouraged. Dogs should be spayed or neutered, over 1 year old and have all required vaccinations that you would have in any boarding kennel. A big backyard and room to roam is available. I've been a dog owner for over 50 years, have a reliable group at trustedhousesitters.com who can vouch for me and if you get to know this place, you will know we are solid loving peeps in the 90405. Rates are currently reduced to entice a regular clientle and get back into Rover. Ask for what you need, you'll be sure to get the right answer.

An absolute gem on Rover! David and Taylor are incredible - very warm, friendly and extremely trustworthy. Miso had the best time staying with them! Their home has an abundance of space for the dogs to sprawl around (+ beautiful house) & David really treated my dog like their own! I couldn’t recommend them enough! Will definitely be booking again next time I’m in LA :)
David was great with our pup! And she really enjoyed using the pool :)
David sat for us recently and took care of our two dogs. I think our dogs were disappointed when we returned! David took them out regularly for walks, gave them affection and sent us pictures which we loved. The house was spotless when we returned. We would want him back at the drop of a hat!

Schedule
My wife and I work from home consistently and take care of our Bernese. Having a few extra dogs will be a joy for us and our dog. We like to take breaks from the laptops for walks around the block and get out and sniff.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a completely fenced in yard, a gravel backyard for elimination, a pool with a baja if your dog wants to chill on those hot summer days. Our house is open to dogs in the kitchen area. We keep them close to be able to keep an eye on them and since we are laptop people, we can chill in the backyard, on the deck or in the kitchen to 'referee' if need be. If you are boarding, we have an extra large crate if needed.
Pets
A typical day
I'm up at 6:30am and the kitchen door is immediately opened and left opened during the day - dogs can go in and out to eliminate in the backyard on their own free will. We wake and either walk or have breaky and then walk. The outdoors are open for a romp or a laze in the sun and the dogs have plenty of room to play at will. When they seem bored, toys are introduced or chewy treats. Usually in the mid afternoon after the heat, we take another walk, shorter one around the neighborhood and sniff.

- Biters, markers, chewers and aggressive dogs will not do well in our home. If medications are required, no problem - just show us once and write down instructions and we're all over it. If boarding, we would like a crate, a bed, and instructions about how to best provide a routine they enjoy. We would prefer not to board dogs who are active swimmers just from a cleanliness and mess perspective. All dogs should be up on shots and regularly washed and not track in dirt if possible.
