I’ve had dogs in my life for over 20 years. Currently I have 2 boxers, Archie and Duke. I worked for Animal Services in Southern California, first as an Animal Care Attendant, then as an Animal Control Officer. Before that, I ran a non-profit dog rescue for a year while the owner was deployed. So your pet will be in good hands while you’re away on vacation or busy at work. My wife and I love animals so this is more fun for us than anything.

I was very pleased with Annie’s day of daycare. It was our first time using rover, and David was great! Annie seemed very happy when I picked her up!!
What an awesome find on Rover. Requested daycare at the last minute and David was more than happy to accommodate. Originally requested daycare for ~4 hrs, but appointments at Mayo kept being added on. Thought we would be finished around 2 pm, but not finished at Mayo until ~4 pm...no problem with David and his wife. Our Piper is a small rescue mix-breed with some anxiety issues, but she did great with their boxers. Several pictures were sent throughout the day that definitely decreased my anxiety. We were even gifted special treats that were sent home with Piper. I highly recommend, and will definitely use again in the future with our appointments at Mayo.
David was AMAZING!! Will definitely re-book! He took I incredible care of my dog and even took him hiking!

My wife and I both work from home so our schedules are flexible. One or both of us will be available to care for your pet all day.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fully fenced yard with plenty of space. We live in a good area for walks close to Silver Lake. I have a strict way of introducing dogs to one another that allows me to see how they interact before allowing them to be together. Dogs can be territorial when it comes to their space, food, toys etc. so they need to be monitored when meeting for the first time. I hesitate to take dogs to “dog parks” for that reason. If our dogs don’t get along with each other I can rotate them and keep them separated.
Pets
A typical day
I prefer to take dogs to state parks and other trails around Rochester. I also enjoy walking around the neighborhood. I provide plenty of dog toys and treats throughout the day and let them outside to play and sniff around. We have a school baseball field behind the house so there is usually something happening for the dogs including squirrels that run along the power lines from tree to tree.
