David is very kind, and helpful. He made sure my dog was walked on time, and was thoughtful about the route and making sure my dog’s needs were met. I would definitely recommend him for your pet care needs!

David is amazing! He took my dog on an hour long walk and my dog instantly loved him. David is reliable, truly passionate about dogs, and easy to communicate with. My dog arrived home happy and tired. I’ll absolutely be booking with David again! 🐶

I could write a long list of issues I had with David. Majority of them being the lack of effort to make sure my pet was properly taken care of and secured before leaving the property. I gave extremely clear instructions that were not followed properly and as a result my personal items were shredded in my place due to my dog being a puppy and not knowing any better. David was constantly blowing my personal phone number up with text messages and phone calls for things that could’ve been resolved with very simple solutions or some critical thinking. He corrected my dog food and other things about how I care for my pet when I never asked for his opinion and did not hire him for that. I high was pretty blown way at the lack of care for my pet when he broke out of the cage from not being secured properly… my pup had shredded quite a few items in my room, including electrical wires, and broken glass. I do not blame David for my puppy doing these things however, as the professional and expert that rover standards portray, you would think it’s common sense to not leave those kind of things around on the floor, knowing you are not going to properly secure my pet before you leave. that is a safety hazard. There are a handful of things that David did great, and I appreciate him going out of his way for certain things however, many of these were overshadowed by the lack of effort to find solutions for a very simple issues that anyone who knows basic dog knowledge could’ve figured out. There was an instance where I told David actually multiple instances where I told him. I was busy on my trip and could not speak on the phone. However, I was responding to his messages immediately and not ignoring him and his response was that if I do not pick up the phone, he was going to leave my pet unsecured in my room after already knowing how much damage he had done before. I did not appreciate this kind of threat or intimidation. I gave very clear instructions on leaving dog stimulation TV while No one was with my pet so that it could help calm his separation anxiety and give him something to be stimulated without having anyone around for a while until the next drop in visit. I came home and found the TV was muted, and on some random cable crime channel with no sound. The frustrating thing was that rather than being focused on my trip I was constantly being spammed messages and phone calls throughout the entire duration of the trip all day long for me to come up with solutions for a very simple things such as David asking me if it’s OK for my pup to interact with other dogs even though I had already explained to him his current status in training with socialization. David had also called me to ask to do things with my pup that I did not ask David to do. I appreciate the thought to go above and beyond, but constantly calling my phone, especially repeatedly after denying the call due to being busy was unacceptable and unprofessional. He also told me that he found it frustrating and nerve wrecking to take care of a “big dog” when the reality of it is the size of my pet is clearly listed in my pets profile and described in his bio as well as multiple pictures of him. My pup is a big boy and about 35 pounds but is definitely not like a massive dog quite yet due to his age. I would say he’s about the size of a medium size adult dog. But you can see how that would be frustrating if David knew the situation and still took on the offer for drop in visits just to say the size of the dog bothered him. Finally one of the biggest and most frustrating complaints I had with the situation was the amount of times. David requested to completely rearrange all of the scheduled drop in visits that we had already originally agreed on in the beginning when he excepted the offer. He waited until the nights before, or the day of to start blowing up my phone, asking if he could rearrange all of the different times. This was extremely frustrating and distracting from my trip because now here I am trying to reconstruct, my pets schedule to fit around what David had going on because he forgot about an appointment for his pet. It was very unprofessional and irresponsible. And you should not except offers if you are not able to follow through on your commitments to care for someone’s pet. David did do a few things very well, such as playing with my pet and making him feel loved the times that they did go out. He also went out of his way to refill my pets dog food because I was unable to do so prior to my trip due to the timing of the stores being closed . He did clean up a little bit of my dogs eating station area and I appreciated that as well as arranging a meet and greet prior to the drop ins. But honestly, overall this was not a good experience, and now that I am home with my pet and seeing all of the damage to my belongings and I could have came up with many solutions using just a little bit of critical, thinking to avoid much of this. I would fully understand blowing up my phone, if there were emergencies or if there was a behavioral issue with my pet, or if I was ignoring him for something important, however almost all of the times David spammed my phone word for very small unnecessary things. I don’t think he has bad intentions however, I think there was a lot of lazy care for my pet.
