I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide consistent and attentive care for your pets. I’m available for boarding on weekends and most weekdays after 2 PM, with time set aside for walks, play, feeding, and check-ins. I make sure each pet gets dedicated attention and isn’t just “fit into” my schedule—they’re part of it.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a secure fenced yard and two friendly, well-socialized dogs who enjoy having company. I always introduce pets slowly to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I can crate your dog if needed and will follow any specific routines, feeding schedules, or care instructions you provide. Whether in my home or yours, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and stress-free environment where your pet feels at home.

Information David L. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know about any special needs, medical conditions, routines, or behaviors your pet has so I can provide the best care possible. I like to keep things as consistent as possible with what they’re used to at home. I’m comfortable with a wide range of breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and I’m happy to accommodate everything from high-energy dogs to more relaxed, senior pets. The more details you can share, the better I can make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.

A typical day

A typical day with the pets I care for is structured, attentive, and tailored to their individual needs. I start by making sure they’re comfortable, fed, and have fresh water. From there, I focus on maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible—whether that means morning walks, playtime, or just keeping them company so they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. Throughout the day, I monitor their behavior, provide any requested updates, and make sure they’re getting plenty of attention and care. When it comes to fun activities, I love keeping pets engaged both physically and mentally. For dogs, that can include walks, fetch, light training exercises, or just exploring new surroundings at a comfortable pace. For more relaxed pets, it might mean cuddle time, enrichment toys, or quiet companionship. I always adjust activities based on each pet’s personality, age, and energy level to make sure they’re happy, stimulated, and stress-free.

Pet care experience

I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments for over 10 years. Friends, family, and neighbors trust me to feed, walk, play with, and look after their pets as if they were my own. I’m comfortable with puppies, senior dogs, and pets that need extra patience or attention. I pay close attention to routines, behavior, and safety, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals—not just watching them, but making sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and happy while you’re away.

Milo had soo much fun! I am so appreciative because she was so accommodating and so understanding about my last minute reservation. She was very sweet and I would definitely rebook and recommend to others. :))))

David came and picked Duke up from my house… which was good. I had to pick Duke up from a different residence from his sister and grandpa. When I got home I noticed that Duke’s name/address tag and rabies tag was missing from his collar. Also, there was a part of a leash attached to his harness that looked like it had been chewed into. I messaged David about this and he said he found the tags under the couch and thought they belonged to his dog since he had recently had his shots. He didn’t give any explanation about the partial leash. I messaged him the other day to ask if it was okay for me to come and pick up Duke’s tags, and he said he wasn’t home and would bring them to me in a couple of hours. He never did, and won’t respond to anymore of my texts. Not only do I not recommend him, but think he should be removed from Rovers list of sitters.

David is an incredibly responsible and attentive pet caregiver who clearly loves what he does. He treats every pet like his own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. He’s reliable, communicative, and genuinely thoughtful, which makes leaving your pet with him a lot less stressful. Any pet would be lucky to spend time with David.

David is an incredibly responsible and caring pet caregiver who treats every animal like family. He’s attentive, patient, and always makes sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether it’s sticking to routines, giving extra affection, or handling unexpected situations calmly, David goes above and beyond. I would absolutely trust him with any pet, knowing they’ll be in kind and capable hands.
