Doggy Dreamhouse-Former K9 officer
I have had dogs my entire life, from small mixed breeds to huge Rottweilers. As an adult, my wife and kids and I have raised and loved 3 dogs who have since passed away. Since then, we have often cared for our neighbor's dogs, and we have enjoyed having them in our home while their parents were away. We decided Rover.com would be a great way to expand this service to others and get our "dog fix" at the same time! I was a K-9 handler for law enforcement for 6 years. During that time I was responsible for the healthcare and welfare of my K9 partners. From grooming to annual checkups, I had to ensure that my partners were healthy and ready to work. When each of my partners retired, I was able to adopt them and bring them home to become a formal part of our family for the rest of their days. I was able to help them both transition from being dependable working dogs to loyal cuddlers. Having to help them cross over the rainbow bridge were some of the hardest days of my life - and that's why we don't have dogs of our own anymore. I can't take that pain. We are happy to love on and spoil other's dogs while they travel or work and then return them home to their loving families (like grandbabies!). We make sure pets feel comfortable in our home and try to make sure that pets are sticking to their usual routine throughout the day.

Schedule
We are available for the listed services as noted. We have very flexible schedules and can accommodate most owners’ needs. When your pet is in our home, they are the priority. We only take one client at a time.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a very relaxed home. It is a very quiet and peaceful environment with no children and no pets of our own. Your dog will feel safe and right at home.
A typical day
We will give your dog one-on-one playtime and attention. We cater to dogs with special diets and routines. For exercise, we have a trail very close to our house that we used to take our dogs on all the time. If your dog is used to a daily walk, those trails will be very useful. Otherwise, we have a fenced in back yard that we love to play fetch in or your dog can just lay on the porch for a while if they like to sunbathe.
