Availability
Jess works from home part time and whilst David is in a full time role, he works from home a minimum of two days a week and is home most evenings. We are very flexible and are very willing and able to accommodate your dog’s routine. Walks, play time, toilet breaks - you name it! Your dog may be left for a short time while Jess runs an errand or does the PM school run for our children, but your dog will always have our cocker spaniel Jasper for company. We can offer collections and drop offs where possible, for an additional fee.

Safety, trust & environment
Your doggy pal will be safe and loved with us, and treated as a member of the family! Jess is a trained Level 2 Pet First Aider including CPR, so your dog will be in excellent hands. We have a secure, fenced garden (see pics) and the dogs are always downstairs with Jess during the day. We allow dogs on the bed/in our bedroom with us at night (and on the couch during the day!) but can crate your dog if you prefer or have them downstairs. If Jess has to pop out, we have a camera system to check on them, but she’s rarely gone for longer than a couple of hours. Please note that for safety reasons, we are only able to accept long-lasting chews like pigs ears or antlers for crate-trained dogs who are able to safely enjoy them away from the others. We do not accept bones.

Information David & Jessica S. would like to know about your pet
Let us know if your dog has any needs or behaviours we should be aware of, or any medication or allergies. Please note that we will usually require any new dogs to complete a trial overnight/day of daycare (within reason) before we can accept the booking. We will also need all clients to provide an emergency contact who can accommodate the dog in an emergency, as well as vet details. Please also note that while we do (gladly!) accept puppies, we do not take unneutered (intact) males over the age of 6 months old, or in-season females of any age.

Our closest park is right next door to the University nearby, so we’ll be there a lot with more than enough love from the students to go around! We have another large park nearby for running, and a good sized, fenced garden. Our kids love to play with dogs, and give (owner-approved) treats. Your dog will have comfortable furniture and several dog beds of varying sizes to nap on, as well as a selection of toys to play with, and fresh water always available throughout our home and garden. You are welcome to provide their favourite toys and treats too which we will give them with supervision.

Pet care experience
We are a husband and wife team, David and Jess. We absolutely love dogs, and giving dogs lots of love! Both of us grew up with at least one dog at all times: terriers, spaniels, setters, labradors and mixed breeds. We now haven 8 year old cocker spaniel called Jasper, our “first born”, who we absolutely adore (we also have two human children, aged 7 and 2, who love dogs too). We are experienced with furry friends of all ages, from puppies to senior dogs. Jess is also a Level 2 Pet First Aider and is pet CPR trained.
Reviews

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐10000/10 I cannot recommend Jessica (and David) highly enough. She looked after my dog Honey while I was at work this week (despite me being last minute with my request!!!), and from start to finish she was absolutely amazing. Honey has kidney failure and can be quite particular with her food and routine, so leaving her with someone new was understandably nerve wracking for me. Jessica was incredibly accommodating, patient, understanding and considerate of Honey’s needs. When Honey refused to eat on the first day, Jessica didn’t give up on her and instead took the time to gently encourage her, showing so much care and compassion. Throughout the day, Jessica kept me updated with regular messages, photos and videos, which gave me complete peace of mind knowing Honey was safe, comfortable and being so well cared for. It was clear from every update just how much love and attention Honey was receiving. What stood out most was how genuinely caring Jessica is. She treated Honey as if she were her own and made every effort to ensure she felt happy, relaxed and loved. Honey absolutely adored her time there, and it was obvious from the photos and videos how comfortable and content she felt. Finding someone you trust with your dog is priceless, especially when they have additional health needs, and Jessica exceeded every expectation. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave Honey with her again and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, reliable and truly exceptional dog sitter. Thank you so much, Honey can’t wait to see you and the other little doggies again in the near future! ❤️🐾

The best sitters! They are SO caring, Toffee loved her time with them, she didn’t want to leave! She had a great walk and play and was kept updated. Look forward to booking again and so does Toffee! A real home from home thank you!!

It was clear from the moment we met, that Jessica had a genuinely love and understand dogs. She kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. My dog came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Thank you Jessica

Jess was great with Tony. She was very patient with him as he can be a bit nervy around new people. Her support brought Tony out of his shell and I think he’s made a new friend
